That Sinking Feeling (Alternate Ending)
Back in the day, Spongebob Squarepants became a popular topic for creepypastas. Most of them are fake even though they look real, but others not so much. The episode That Sinking Feeling was an already strange and weird episode. The episode is about Squidward making a boundary around his house that prevents Spongebob and Patrick from crossing. So they decide to play underground but this causes the entire city to go underground. Now let me tell ya something, the alternate episode was much more gruesome.....and deadly....
I was bored during quarantine and decided to scavenge my closet. I found old toys and clothes but I can across a DVD disc for spongebob season 7. It had some season 7 episodes like Whelk Attack, the Curse of the Hex, and Buried in Time. But then I noticed That Sinking Feeling. I thought how could this have gotten here? I shrugged it off and went to my old dvd player and started watching. The episodes played normally expect the voices were a bit deeper and got distorted at some points. But I thought that it was just old and aged. But then I got to That Sinking Feeling. The title card was bloodshot red and the ominous music from Graveyard Shift started playing. What the hell? I said to myself. The episode went sorta normal from their. Spongebob and Patrick desperately tried to see each other but to no avail. Then after Spongebob and Patrick got their pickaxes and started digging.
Soon after they met up I saw something completely wrong. There was a skeleton of a dead fish just laying on the ground where the dancing roots are. The duo didn't seem to notice or care as they continued on dancing like the roots. The usually bubble transitioning began and Squidward started looking for Spongebob and Patrick but after looking at Patrick's house. Then Squidward had had a surprised look on his face and yelled WHAT IF THEY FOUND MY SECRET!?!? He then quickly got his pickaxe digged extremely fast. He quickly made it underground and there were more skeletons of fish just laying their. Squidward started growling fiercely. Like an angry dog about to attack something or someone. He walked slowly as he heard the laughter of Spongebob and Patrick. The duo kept digging until the trios houses fell underground. Squidward's house had blocked off them from digging any further...
Then Patrick noticed a dead skeleton of what looked like Fred the Fish. The both gasped and started getting nervous. Spongebob said they need to call the cops and get out of here. Squidward then appeared and a ferocious looking face. He then said to Spongebob. "I am going to cut you open just like you did to me." "Squidward.... what are you talking about?" "You locked me in your basement, prevented me from escaping, killed innocent people and locked them in rusty cages." "Oh no!" said Patrick. Apparently this was a follow up to Squid's visit alternate ending. Patrick then charged at Squidward but he dodged his attack and Squidward swung his pickaxe into patricks neck. The scene quickly went to Spongebob screaming but for some reason, his eyes were black and had red pupils. Patrick then started choking on his own blood and then fell on the ground... Dead...
Spongebob then screamed and begged for mercy. "I'm so sorry squidward!" "I tried to stop myself but I couldn't!" "Please I will turn myself in!" "Too late for apologies." Squidward then raised his pickaxe and smashed it into Spongebob's chest. But not without a horrific scream.
I quickly took out the disc and threw it in the trash. I sat on my couch pondering about wtf just happened. Was this real? Did Squidward want to get revenge? What happened next? I never told anyone else this story. Except for my friend Chris. He told me that he too had viewed the episode. Apparently, some psycho hackers changed the episode and made the audio deeper and distorted. It wasn't my DVD at all. He also told me that this was a follow up to Squid's Visit. Where Squidward had somehow managed to knock Spongebob out and escaped his basement. Nickelodeon took action on this and managed to change the changes that the hackers made. But the hackers did manage to get this episode on DVD but again Nickelodeon confiscated any DVDs that had this episode. I don't know how I had one. Maybe my mom bought it a long time ago. Maybe it was with some of my old belongings. I really don't know and I never want to.
A month has passed since this incident and I refuse to talk about it. Just letting you all know, if there is a rare chance that you come across this, just don't watch it. Squidward might come after you.
