If you search the deepest, most cursed corners if the darknet, you may come across a Skyrim mod called, "Lonely Skeleton", with no further description. Intrigued by the strange title, I added it to my load order.
The game played normally until after I tried to collect the Horn of Jerkoff Fartjammer and found Delphine's mysterious note instead. Travelling to Riverwood, I was accosted by a chicken. The chicken uncharacteristically leapt at me with hate in its eyes. I was forced to Fus Roh Dah the accursed fowl and then splatter it with my flaming warhammer.
This made everyone in town hostile, and I was captured by the guards and thrown in jail. Delphine was forced to meet me there instead of her secret room in the inn. Our conversation was overheard by a Thalmor spy in the next cell. As a result, Esbern was dead by the time we reached him. There was no way to learn the Dragonrend shout, thus no way to defeat Alduin. He took over the world and ushered in and age of chaos the likes of which I dare not describe!
Stunned by these events, I silently exited the game and turned off my PC, which was draped with cobwebs. Looking down at my hands, I realized the ghastly truth. I was now a skeleton and had been dead for over 400 years.
