愛の花 (Flower Of Love)
I could say it's a strange day but I don't know if it might be even more than that. My identity isn't really that important nonetheless, You only want to know what is the story is anyway.
I was watching a japanese cartoon or what people know as "Anime", It wasn't those mainstream anime or the ones people know of like My Hero Academia and that one failure of a 'anime'. It was a copy and I don't even remember how I got it, All I know that my friend who let's call him "Lori" gave it to me that has a CD inside during class.
The CD box cover is a picture of a girl in her middle school uniform with hearts around her and the name of it is in japanese which he told me it name is "愛の花" which he didn't even translate it for me, Even though it's just a really bland and basic cover anyone can make. And that's what I was doing like a minute ago, My curiosity really got onto me and I waited till I can go back home to watch it.
The quality is like a video tape, I don't mind it much though as I brush it aside like it was from the 80s or something. I don't want to get too detail on the opening sequence since it's pretty much your standard shoujo opening at best but it got a bit glitchy at the end of it. There's 3 more characters besides the girl on the cover. One was a generic 'harem' boy And one was a pink haired girl, Then the last one was a special case.
When she first appears in the opening and the time her name supposed to be reaveled, It was blured out unlike the others which appears in japenese. Is the CD have some kind of problem or something? Speaking of which, Her name appears in front of the blured out supposed japanese name as "HANA".
Her appearace is a bit different too, She seems to be paler and doesn't look too generic like the other 3 characters. It could be me seeing things and of course I have not proof to back this up like the cover.
After the opening and jump over the unimportant parts that are pretty boring, It doesn't seems to be anything at all. It just seems like a generic anime I have seen before. Then I look inside the CD box and it only seem to have only one part. I look at what is beside the CD box and I found a picture of the character Hana but, She looks more different than in the opening. She doesn't have a arm and her other arm was a...I don't know how to discribe that actually.
Other than her arms being gone and replaced, She seems to have weird swallow up cheek marks all over her. With flower around her collar uniform and two rafflesia flowers on her hair. It doesn't make any sence on why it was here but it just happens somehow?
At first I was amazed on how cool it look for a bit but reality strike me to think logically how it got here in the first place. I thought it could be that Lori told me there's a picture along with the CD but I didn't remember that at all.
So I pick up the CD box and leave it in with the other anime CDs I have. Meanwhile the picture, I don't know where to put it so I leave it in the folder I don't use. After that, I rest myself out for a bit, "What in the living shit was that." I ask to myself. Then the rest of the day continues as normal after that.
Which I thought it was the end of it till now, "You thought it would end but it's not over yet!" Unfunny joke I know. I might just want to light the mood up for a bit. Other than that, The story at hand first.
I call Lori to ask him some things I need to know about the CD the day after, but he doesn't know or even remember what I'm talking about, It could be that he forgot about it. I even told him about the cover and he still doesn't know, It's like he forgot about it completely.
I show him the CD box cover, He said it "look pretty familar" but then my signal towards him cuts off. I look at my wifi and it look normal to me but why in a time like this did my signal towards Lori got cut off? It's a coincidence for sure, I swear it is. I look at the CD box then go look for that picture, Sadly it's still in that folder. It's not like it's supernatural that's for sure. I take a look at the picture, It doesn't look too out of the ordinary that's for sure.
It looks like a concept art as a final design or something like that. I check out what's behind the picture and it doesn't have anything, I put it back to where it was before and suddenly my phone rang. It was Lori that's for sure, I picked up.
"Dude, This is fucking creeping me out." He said in confusion, He turn his camera on for me to see him and a black void. He somewhat doesn't seem to fazed out but still confused, "Where are you? Why is behind you just a black void?" I said completely concern for him.
"I don't know, It's all dark! It's like it wasn't supposed to happen." He spoke back, Now I think the CD is not even relevent up till this point. "Is something else with you?" I ask, "There's a TV screen, That's for sure! This is fucking weird!" He answers. Then my signal broke off again, This is a really bad timing for that honestly, And then my phone battery died. Great, Even worse in contacting him. I charge my phone and look outside for a bit.
There's a police car outside, I bet Lori's parents notice his disappearace that they decide to call the police. I want to tell them what happen to him but I don't think they will trust a unbelieveable story anyway, So I didn't get myself involved on what's happening outside.
I gone to my desk, seeing a piece of paper on it. I filp the paper to see that one picture of Hana again including the CD, I check my phone to still 0% battery, Is the phone the problem or the charger the problem.
Nonetheless, There's no way to contact Lori anymore, Not even the cellphone can work either, When suddenly, Out of nowhere, The computer turned on. It's just static, Other than that there's someone banging on the other side.
I go to turn it off but it doesn't work at all, My phone was gone alongside that. A text appears on the computer.
"CDをもう一度見る。" is what the text said, I don't understand what it meant but all I know it's about the CD. It could be that it wants me to watch it again, I took the CD box and straight to the door.
But it brings me back to my room. I jump out of the window and it brings back to my room again, With this time the window is lock shut, No esapce. I was pretty curious on what's the rest of the CD will lead me to, So I put it into my CD player sadly.
It's just a black screen, no opening no nothing.
There's a moment of slience till a girl with spider lily flowers all over the ground appears with a texts over the screen.
" あなたは何もできません。"
Then it cuts off. I don't even think this is even a joke anymore, Not even when Lori was just in that void place just 3 minutes ago, This just feels unsettling even though it doesn't. I don't understand what's even happening anymore, The next thing I know is that someone's probably going to commit suicide over something dumb and abnormal as a unreal reaction.
I pinch my cheeks to confirm if it's still a dream or not, That didn't work, it's still going.
At that point my mind just felt a little crack inside, The fact that it's not a dream, It's still going and ALL of this is because of a anime CD. This must be a stupidest reason on why people became insane or something lke that.
I remove the CD from the player and put it inside a empty box and seal it shut with duct tape, I would break the CD with a hammer or something but it wouldn't work anyway.
After that, I walk up to my desk. Only a piece of paper was there, Luckily it's not japanese this time but It's not a good one either.
"Friend disappear, No esacpe, Died of starve."
"Phone connetion gone, phone gone."
This is broken english for sure but other than that, I leave my room. I didn't notice it didn't send me to my room again but I was in denial at that point, No one was home and the cellphone isn't a opition neither since there's coincidentally no cellphone anywhere I can use and I can't break into someone's house since that could also be invading their properly.
It was a hard time for me back there and it's a troublesome at best, I don't know what to do at that point so I just curl down and starts crying. But no one really cares about that so after 1 hour have passed and there's a box filled with duct tape is beside me, I didn't really care at that point so I take the box and left it in a nearby lake.
But before I did, Something push me out of thin air. That's when I let the box go, It slide it's way to the lake, I look behind me to see who the hell did it.
Literally no one.
I take a look at the duct tape box, It was desending into the water. I didn't care at this point, I just want my friend back. Tragic, Not for you anyway. Then my eye sight was limit to my left eye, All was so fast in a span of 2 days.
I felt a sharp like object into the back of my head then my right eye, Like a bullet went through it. Anyways, Let's get straight to the point. I got my eye stab from the back of my head somehow and blacked out.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
I woke up.
I was in a hospital room, I still can't see through my right eye. I thought I died or I was in a limbo or some kind of afterlife, But since I'm still tell you this story, I'm actually not dead.
I look to my left, There's flowers lying there, I felt like something is still wrong. Who brought me here, Who is the one that stab the back of my head to my eye, I have so many questions.
Other thing to my right, There's another person beside me with flowers as well. It was Lori, I don't know how he came back without me knowing but I'm glad he's safe for now.
Then, I look at what's underneath the blanket.
My legs looks like it has spikes inside my skin, I scream. What is even happening at this point, Have I really become paranoid about shit like this now? Or maybe even insane. I clear my eyes to see just bandages on where my legs are, Now I really became paranoid.
A nurse came in because of the scream I made, I told her questions that anyone would say in a situtation like this, "How did I get here?", "Why is there bandages around my legs?", "What is happen?" and other basic question.
She told me that a stranger brought me here alongside Lori when both of us were in the lake, I wasn't in the lake during that time though, Lori wasn't even with me either.
She also told me my legs were a bit of a long story and that both me and Lori are in a coma for just 4 weeks, I was confused, Is this a dream or not? Is the fucking CD actually just a dream I was having or not?
Then she said that the stranger took the box in duct tape away as well with no explanation at all, Why would anyone take a box in DUCT TAPE and disappears for no reason at all?
And she left, Great, What a "good" information to have. But I can't really be mad at her for anything or even the stranger she mention, Oh well, Just lose my temper for a bit just now. Let's contiune on, It's almost going to finish soon.
I rest my head and looking at the celling, This all happens in just 2 days.
If only my curiosity didn't happen with that thing, This might have never happen. Well, Curiosity kills the cat really took a turn for the worse.
And now I'm sitting here in a empty room, This is really boring and really sudden right? Depends really but who really cares about this anymore.
Besides there's still a lot more to the CD I haven't fought out yet, It's gone.
Right in the hands of someone who I don't even know or even seen.
Oh well, This is really stupid anyway.
Luckily this is the end, I don't think the main thing is even important anymore.
Other than that, I could make a half bad sentence by just saying "If you ever came upon-" blah blah blah, I really don't think it needs one here, It's already done in the internet anyway.
So then, This is my time to leave. Hopefully the insane asylum will be good.
