Ben Returns
Hello Everyone, I need you to help me. Today I have truly met with a terrible fate. It started when I recieved an ordinary package in the mail. I just thought it was a package from a relative or something like that, but when I opened it to my surprise it was a Nintendo cartridge that simply said Majora on it. But that wasn't the weirdest part. It looked as if it was burnt, but in a way that it was still in tact.
I thought it would be a dud and not work since it was burnt. It was probably a family member getting rid of an old cartridge by giving it to me. So I dug out my nintendo 64 to see if it would work or not. Then I remembered my brother loves old video games, so I called him over to play with me. When he got here I popped in the cartridge. I prayed that it would work and my brother didn't come here for nothing. Luckily it did play, but what was strange was that when the screen that was the nintendo symbol spinning played, it was all staticy.
I thought it would go away but when the file screen popped up it was still static. I could vaguely make out a second file name, "BEN". My stomach dropped, because I've heard of ben and what happened to Jadusable, I was ready to Immediately pull out the cartridge and throw it away but, then I thought to myself." Wait, BEN's not real. He was just made to scare some kids online. This is probably just some idiotic joke being played on me by one of my dumb cousins, or something."
So I entered my username and kept on playing. The game played as it usually would, now without the static part. Link was riding his horse through the woods and then the fairies knocked him off his horse, but then something else weird happened. The part where skull kid appears, but you can only see the Majoras Mask at first then you see him, well I saw the mask but skull kid never showed up. "Weird," I said to my brother," Aah, but don't worry the case is burnt, it's a miracle it plays at all." So we kept on playing. But another glitch happened after we went through the tunnels and got to clock town. First of all it skipped entirely through meeting the Happy mask sales man, which was weird. Second, was that the usual happy music that played, was instead replaced by a loud static version of it. Then as I was walking static appeared on the screen for only a second. Thats when something scary happened.
When the flash of static came on I could've sworn I saw link sprawled on the floor dead looking at us like in the corrupted version when he was killed by skull kid." Did you see that?" asked my brother Josh. I nodded to him. then the part where I met the Happy Mask Sales man finally played out. It went on normally, Deku Boy Link walks up the stairs, is about to open the door when you hear the happy mask sales man say, "You've met with a terrible fate haven't you?" But when Link looks at him instead of the cheery smiley expression on his face he has that creepy half angry half happy face.
Then to both me and my brother's surprise we heard the skull kid scream just like... just like when you first meet Ben and you hear the scream. I turned to my brother and screamed, "Take the case out!" He reached for the case but when he grabbed hold of the console electrocuted him. The game froze and turned to a pure static. Then the eeriest most spine tingliest voice came from the TV. It said, "You really shouldn't do that" Suddenly we heard the windows and the door in the room lock we tried to open them, but they wouldn't budge. We grabbed for the wires that hooked the TV to the wall, but they too electrocuted us. The screen turned into a violent video of Ben drowning. He was in the great bay.
I could see the house that had the big hook on top of it. Ben kept screaming and screaming. It looked as if someone was holding him down, but it didn't show his face. And when he finally wen't under the scene turned blood red. The scene turned to static and a new video popped up. It was the happy mask sales man standing in his regular position of his hands held together and a weird smile on his face, but the song of unhealing was playing in the background.
The camera moved closer and closer until it was so close we could only make out his upper body and head he reached behind him into his huge bag of masks and pulled out a specific mask. It was of BEN's face and it made every hair on my body stand up. Instead of Ben's emotionless face there was a twisted smile on his face that I knew I would probably have nightmares about for weeks. The video stopped and it then went to once again static. Then came the final video. This is the one that really got me and my brother scared. It was of the Great Bay beach at night. The moon with it's evil face was in the background looming over the scene. Then we saw something, a figure in the water getting closer and closer to the surface. We could make out the shape of it, it had the distinctive shape of link. The figure kept getting closer and closer to the shore until it collapsed onto the shore gasping for breath.
We thought it was Link for a second but we weren't sure because his hood covered his face. He let off a terrible and evil laugh and began to rise up. "You should have come for me. You saw me drown, and yet you stood there watching me." By now me and my brother were on the verge of a nervous breakdown, this was too much to take. " Aah," he said," You're scared. Well I'm only having fun." He rose to his feet and pushed his hood from his face. I nearly shit myself. It was Ben, but... he was alive. He had Link's body but Ben's face. "Jadusable was able to escape me. The idiot was lucky enough to get rid of me. But you can never get rid of me. Not truly, anyway. He began walking closer to the screen.
"But you guys and I are gonna have loads of fun. You'll wish you'd never have done that, put in my cartridge and what not. But I bet you guys think I'm just a dumb ghost in a game, but oohhhhh... I'm so much more."
By now Ben was at the very front of the TV screen. He held up his right hand and stuck it through the screen. His computer generated hand came through and became real flesh and blood. Both me and my brother screamed. I grabbed for the nearest and heaviest thing, which was a baseball bat. I swung it at his arm but he was too fast, he jumped out of the screen like a bullet from a gun. He landed on the floor, did a roll, and landed on his feat. I took another swing at him but he easily dodged it. We heard the window and door unlock he ran for the window, but I tackled him.
"Josh!" I yelled as I struggled to constrain BEN," Grab the gun from my desk. Hurry." Josh ran to the other room and dug in my desk drawer until he found my pistol. He heard me scream from the other room and rushed back in. He saw me sprawled on the floor with a black eye and Ben in the windowsill. Ben looked back and said, " You shouldn't have done that." He jumped, but just before he was out of sight Josh got a bullet in his leg. We heard him scream as he fell to the ground. Josh ran to the window and saw Ben limping down the street and out of sight. Josh said, "shit, he got away!" He heard me moaning and ran to me." You okay?" he asked. I leaned forward and said," Yeah, just sore.
Little fucker elbowed me in the eye and got away." We both knew that Ben was out there, no longer just a mere game but a living breathing person able to kill us at anytime he pleased. To all of you, we ask of you to inform us of any sightings of BEN. We will end this, but only with your help. Ben should look like a small boy with blonde hair wearing Link's clothes, but with a dull emotionless face. Do not confront him for we have no idea what he is capable of.
