Billy (Pokepasta)
This is by far the scariest thing that has ever happened to me. It all started with that blasted pokemon game! That stupid game has ruined my life forever, even my old childhood memories are now tainted by the horors wich I endured.
It all started when I bought that used Pokemon Soul Silver game from Gamestop. I noticed that the cartrage had some cosmetic damage, but the guy said that they tested the game and the save file worked fine. Anyway, I bought it.
I took it home and I noticed something I hadn't noticed when I was in the store. The name Billy was written on the sticker with sharpee marker. I figured that whoever owned it before had done this so he wouldn't get it mixed up with his friend's games, or something innocent like that. Little did I know, innocence is something I was about to lose, never to be recovered.
I put the game into my DS Lite, and started it up. The title screen came up and the Lugia flew through the ocean as usual. I pressed start, and I discovered something that puzzled me. The previous save file was named Tom... THAT'S MY NAME!!! I know that's cleche, but I'm totally serious, that's what it said! It also confused me because I had assumed that the name of the profile would be Billy, because of what was written on the cartrage sticker. Oh well, I guessed it was just a coinsidence.
I started a new file and called it Gold. I loved the original names, and the original story, so I figured that I would name myself that for nostalgia's sake. I also did it because well I was still a bit spooked by the name of the previous save file.
Anyway, the game progressed as normal... that is... untill I reached Olivine City. I bet you thought I was going to say Lavender Town right? Man, those stories are so dumb. Anyway, upon my arrival, I got a call from a School Kid I had battled named Billy. What he said both confused me... and really creeped me out! He siad "Go to the house in Olivine... TRADE!!!" Then he hung up. That was weird I thought, but I decided I would shrug it off. However, I then encountered my rival Silver (as I said before, I am a big fan of the original names). He said something that I didn't remember him saying before. (I KNOW THAT'S CLECHE, GET OVER IT!) he said, "You'd better be here to trade. You'll be sorry if you don't. Then he walked off. What the? Darn, this game has been hacked! Oh, well I decided that I would go ahead and play the hacker's little game. That's when it hit me! I remembered that there was a guy in one of the houses that would trade you a voltorb for a krabby. I had only read about this trade from Bulbapedia, I had never actually done it.
So I decided I would give the game what it wanted, I went to the pokemart, and bought some pokeballs because I was low on them. But, that's when things got really creepy and weird. The guy at the counter said "..." instead of his usual lines. Then the menu opened and there was only one item... it was called DOOM BALL and it cost 666 pokedollars. I got chills when I saw that! Well, I went ahead and bought it. I guessed it was part of the hacker's little hack that I was supposed to play. So... I bought it.
It was then I remembered that I hadn't gotton my fishing rod, so I went to the house that had the guy that gave it to me. I went inside and he was standing in a corner... weird... I talked to him and what he said haunts me to this day. "... NO! No, don't make me give it to you! Please, don't hurt..." a text box then appeared that said "You have obtained the DOOM ROD!" The man's sprite then fell to the floor and red liquid surrounded his... corpse. I talked to him again but the text box said "... He's dead... YOU MURDERED HIM!!! Do what you have to do." Then for a split second, the screen displayed a realistic looking picture of his face... He had no eyes, and there was blood all over him! I didn't want to continue playing, but it was like some force was preventing me from quitting.
I left his house and then... I noticed the music had slowed down, and sounded more... ominous... I went to the shore and used my fishing rod... and sure enough... a wild crabby appeared. But the text box said something I had never seen it say before... and it terrified me. "Crabby knows what you're going to do... are you really this heartless?" This disturbed me so I tried to run away. "No... it's too late to turn back... you've allready come this far." I also noticed that I hadn't sent out any pokemon. There was only one other option... items. I had a pokedoll in my bag so I decided that I would try to use that... but... when I touched items... the only item it showed was the DOOM BALL. I had had enough... I decided to switch the power off and forget this game. But when I did, a text box appeared. "You're not running away like that! DO WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO!" This was crazy! How could a hacker make the game react to the power switch and... how could he affect the actual hardware witch just a simple game cartrage? None of it made scene. I decided that I would just eject the game cartrage... but another text box appeared! "That's not going to work either, COWARD!" HOW WAS THIS POSSIBLE!? I even went as far as takeing a screw driver and removing the battery... A TEXT BOX APPEARED! "STOP STALLING AND DO WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO!!!" HOW WAS MY DS STILL POWERED ON!? I decided that unless I wanted to crush my DS with a hammer, that I had no choice but to continue. I put the battery back in and reinsterted the cartrage and prepared for the worst. I used the DOOM BALL and it instantly caught the crabby. A text box appeared. "Give a nickname to the doomed crabby?" WHAT KIND OF A SICK PERSON MADE THIS HACK!? I decided not to nickname it. And when it went back to the overworld, I was inside the house of the guy that had the trade!
I walked up to him and he said "... I knew you would come..." then the trade started. It said "Crabby will be lead to the slaughter. Goobye forever crabby!" It then showed a video of someone brutally mauling a crab... so much blood... I almost threw up... Then, I recieved a voltorb named... Billy! I WAS SO SCARED AT THAT MOMENT AS I REMEMBERED... THAT WAS THE NAME OF THE SCHOOL KID THAT CALLED ME!!! I WAS TERRIFIED! I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO THINK! Anyway... It said "Billy has come to you... take good care of him... or else!" I was then put back in Olivine City where I was when I caught the crabby. I looked at my party... I ONLY HAD ONE POKEMON! I ran to the PC... AND ALL OF MY OTHER POKEMON WHERE GONE!!! I looked in my party again... Billy was the only pokemon I had. I looked at his desciption. What I saw chilled me to the bone. His nature was one I had never seen before... BLOODTHIRSTY. Then I saw the trainer note. "Likes to watch others die." It said. I was so freaked out! This hacker had problems! I looked at his moves: Curse, Destiny Bond, Perish Song,... and a move called.. SLAUGHTER. Slaughter was also a type I had never seen before... BLOOD TYPE!!! I was so scared.
I decided that I would go to where I met that school kid... Billy. So I went there and he said "... time to end this!" Then a battle started. His sprite looked like it was rotting... like the Buieried Alive model. and he sent out a decaying Mr.Mime named... THE END. I used curse, but it didn't do what I does for other types... I didn't even do what it does for ghost types. It showed the animation for the ghost type one, but it looked more red... like blood... it then said "THE END was cursed!" but the strage thing was, was it had done no damage to Billy. THE END used Double Slap. "It doesn't affect Billy" What? I then used... Slaughter. "Billy used Slaughter" I then saw one of the scariest, and most disturbing things I have ever seen IN MY LIFE! It showed a vidio of a mime... being brutally murdered. It went on for like, five minutes, and I had already thrown up by this point. When it was finally over, wich felt like an eternity, it said "IT'S SUPER EFFECTIVE! THE END HAS BEEN SLAUGHTERED!" then it made the most blood curtling scream I had ever heard in my life. Then it fainted "THE END had DIED! YOU MURDERED HIM!" then the battle ended. No prise, no victory music, no nothing it just faded out.
But then, when the game retured to the overworld, I was in none other than... Lavender Town (OK! I KNOW THAT REALLY CLECHE! BUT BEAR WITH ME!) I saw that there was a gravestone. When I looked at it and pressed A it said. "Don't you remember me?" a yes/no option appeared. I selected no. "LIAR!" then it showed the face of my trainer, with blood comeing out of his eyes and I could hear the cry of a voltorb, Mr.Mime, and Crabby! then my DS turned off and to this day, I can't turn it back on. Becaue every time I do it says "You're dead remember?" and turns itslef back off. I still have nightmares.
