Bootleg Wii
Remember the Wii? Everyone played Mario Kart and Wii Sports, hours on end! Everyone had fun.
Well, not me. Not me at all.
A few years back my Wii broke down after destroying it after some Funky Kong racer destroyed me in Mario Kart Wii.
I was so dumb...
So, I decided to buy another for a replacement, but it was expensive and I was flat out broke.
So I decided to look on eBay for a cheap Wii. And I found a Wii that was on sale for...
A whopping 20 dollars. 20 dollars for an entire Wii system with Mario Kart Wii included (that's what the description said).
Well, I got more than I bargained for.
After a few days the console arrived, but it was a Chinese bootleg that looked like nothing like the Wii.
After scrolling through tons of Chinese games, I found the only English game.
"Mario" Just "Mario"...
Out of sheer curiosity, I decided to click the play button without hesitation.
It turned out to be a emulation of the original Super Mario Bros. Or so I thought.
So far, it was super fun, jumping on the Goombas and Koopas and collecting coins, but something didn't feel right...
The sky in the game just became darker and darker, and a pile of dead Goombas and Koopas in a pool of blood shown up out of nowhere.
It was impossible to move. The camera just zoomed into the pile. Slowly... and slowly...
It zoomed in so far that I saw the tears of all those Koopas.
And all those Goombas flat... very, very flat.
Some text just appeared out of nowhere and said
"You did this."
"You are the real monster"
"You never learn"
"You clearly see the blood, the tears."
"Will you continue playing"
"Yes or no?"
I clicked no because I just wanted to play Mario.
"You monster"
"You know nothing"
The pit then continued to zoom.
And zoom.
And zoom...
I tried to exit and turn off the console, but I had no luck. Soon, after all of that zooming...
A picture faded into the screen, with a Mario mascot in a dark forest, with white text saying...
"The end is near."
The end is near. I have realized what I have done.
I was a fool.
The only way I could stop it was destroying the entire console, with a big sledgehammer.
It ruined Mario for me.
