Bunnie.EXE (The unofficial sequel to Sally.EXE)

Earlier today, I was watching youtube videos, playing games, you know, the usual.

Everything was normal, until the mailman arrived.

I recently ordered Sonic The Hedgehog for the Sega Genesis (Or Megadrive everywhere else.) off EBay from a person named Cinos (Which was Sonic backwards.) for $12.

I went into the mail and see if anything was there.

All that was in there was A package with A letter.

"Jordan,

Please destroy the disk. Don't even play it, just... destroy it.

I don't care how you do it, just destroy the disk so nobody gets hurt anymore.

-Tom"

I opened the package but instead of containing A cartridge, it contained a CD.

What the heck? How does this guy even know my name? I looked at the CD, and it had one word on it.

SONIC

Maybe I was just imagining things. I took the game home and booted it up on my laptop. The familiar SEGA logo popped up, only, it was red. Other than that, it was normal.

Until I got to the SONIC TEAM PRESENTS screen. It was a bloody red text, and instead of SONIC TEAM PRESENTS, it said GOD TEAM PRESENTS.

At the title screen, I was greeted to a horrific sight. The title was rusty, the sky was dark, the water was red as if someone poured too much red food coloring.

Other differences were that SEGA 1991 was changed to the devil's number, the music was a mix of Flying Battery and the Death Egg zones from Sonic and Knuckles with the SEGA jingle occasionally appearing, and Sonic didn't appear, but there were 3 characters, 2 who were barely recognizable. The first one being Amy, who had a grayish skin and messed up eyes. The second one was Cream, who looked purple and was bleeding a black goo. Her ears were no longer behind her, but in front of her. And the third one... was Uncle Chuck from the SatAM cartoons, but as a Mobian. He made Sonic's pose from Sonic the Hedgehog 1, but suddenly frowned at what was around him.

I pressed enter, and there was a frame where I saw Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Robotnik, Amy, Cream, and Sally, but they were black and red with red irises. I was freaked out, but the first act came.

SPRINGBOARD ACT 1

Uncle Chuck was standing in front of a wall. The floor was the same as Marble Garden from Sonic 3 with the Sad music from Shining Force for the Genesis, and the Uncle Chuck sprite was well done, and it looked official. There was a spring, and I jumped onto it. Uncle Chuck was shot upward, and harpoons were shot at him, tearing off most of his limbs. When I reached the top, I landed on a bridge. Sonic was nearby, with another Sonic that had bloody eyes. The normal Sonic was tied up and sitting on a stool, looking sad as if he knew what was about to happen. He looked bruised and had marks, as if he had a big struggle. The creepy Sonic flipped a switch, and the Modern Sonic scream from Sonic Generations was heard as the normal Sonic was ground up in a food processor, followed by grinding and slurping sounds. By the time the sound effects stopped, Normal Sonic was nothing but a bloody pulp. The only things I could see that were recognizable were his quills and gloves.

Uncle Chuck started crying, as if he was mourning his lost nephew. After 5 seconds, the creepy Sonic jumped on a switch and the bridge collapsed. Uncle Chuck fell past the harpoons, but they didn't shoot at him. He just fell, and landed on the ground.

Uncle Chuck exploded in a bloody mess, as a loud splat was heard. The screen then faded out, going back to the title screen. Cream and Amy were missing, with Amy being replaced with Uncle Chuck. However, Uncle Chuck had the same bloody eyes as the creepy Sonic, with a saddened expression. In the emblem, a new character appeared. Antoine D'Coolette. He looked around him, and started frowning and sweating. I wasn't surprised, because Antoine was a coward in Sonic SatAM,

I started again, but not in the same level. This level was called:

REVENGE ACT 1

The level had the background from Scrap Brain Zone, but the floor from Green Hill Zone, and the music from Mushroom Hill Zone Act 1, but it was slightly slowed down and had different instruments from the ones in S3&K, along with some NES instruments. There were 2 item boxes, one with a knife, the other with a gun. I chose the knife, because Antoine was usually seen with a sword in the comics. I made Antoine run to the right, and I saw the creepy Sonic, but he was holding Uncle Chuck's head, which didn't make sense because Uncle Chuck completely exploded. The Robotnik theme played, and I attacked the creepy Sonic to no avail. He cut Antoine very badly after I hit him 8 times, and I made Antoine hide in a cave. He pointed to the knife, and the S key appeared on screen. So I pressed it.

He stabbed himself. Blood sprayed out for a few moments, then the screen bled out.

The title screen returned, but now Antoine was there, his clothing torn and his eyes bleeding, with a hole in his neck. The character in the emblem was now Bunnie Rabbot.

I wanted to quit the game, but it wouldn't let me, so I just decided to start. The level name just had binary, with the words ACT (binary).

The level was a slightly darker Spring Yard Zone with a sadder version of Marble Zone's theme. Bunnie was standing on spikes, which made sense because her legs were robotic, and I swear that the spikes were rising. But where? The spikes rose higher and higher.

Eventually, the drowning theme played, but a little slower, the spikes slowed down and I saw the ceiling, and I couldn't control Bunnie anymore. She looked up and let out a bloodcurdling scream, then...

SPLAT!

The screen went black, and a text faded in.

"So many souls to play with, so little time."

"However, you soul will be the most fun to play with..."

"JORDAN."

A game over screen appeared, with Tails, Knuckles, Robotnik, Amy, Cream, Sally, Uncle Chuck, Antoine, and Bunnie in their tortured forms. The creepy Sonic was standing in front of them, smiling, and the Sonic CD game over music (US) was playing in reverse.

After a minute of this, red static appeared, and I was brought back to the title. This time, Normal Sonic was there, doing the animation from Sonic 1's title screen, but he had a frown instead of a smile.

What? Normal Sonic was killed! How can I be playing as him?

I started it, and I was sent to a new level called, ONE PATH ACT 18

This level was a static level with no background and black tiles, with the sounds of a dial up tone and screams. I came to 2 paths with Green Hill Zone tiles with a message saying, CHOOSE WISELY.

(NOW THIS IS THE PART WHERE THE STORY TAKES 2 ALTERNATE ENDINGS, THE BAD ENDING AND THE GOOD ENDING.)

Bad Ending

Not knowing what the text meant, I chose the top path. Then, one last text came up.

"I can't wait for you to join us."

I was shocked at that message. Was this before Sonic was killed? What would happen if I chose the different path?

Suddenly, the computer blue-screened on me, and I heard a voice.

"Kyle and Tom didn't want to play with me... what a shame... but I can play with you... right, Jordan?"

I looked behind me, and saw a Bunnie plush, with bloody eyes, a rusty arm, and bloodstains all over her.

Good Ending

Not knowing what the text meant, I chose the bottom path, and static appeared. A new level appeared:

My Game Act 1

I was in a dark room, standing on a white line, and the creepy Sonic arrived, holding the tortured Tails but he had strings attached. The tortured Tails was black, with bloodstains under his eyes and an expression of anguish. Then, the Dr. Robotnik theme from Sonic 2 played, and here's the attacks creepy Sonic did.

He would make Tails spindash towards sonic.

He gave Tails a knife and forced him to attempt to stab Sonic.

Tails did a flying animation, and He made him fly around and attempt to attack the normal Sonic.

Just like normal Sonic games, I attacked Tails 8 times, each time Tails would lose a string. Eventually, all the strings were gone, and creepy Sonic flew off. Then, Tails started following me, like in Sonic 3.

My Game Act 2

This time, he had Knuckles captive, with a darker shade, blood dripping from his dreadlocks, and bloodstains under his eyes, and his moveset was exactly the same as in Sonic and Knuckles. I hit Knuckles the same amount of times as in Sonic and Knuckles to get rid of the strings, and he started following me.

My Game Act 3

Dr. Robotnik flew in, with broken glasses, pale skin, and bloodstains from his eyes. He was using the wrecking ball from Sonic 1, so I did what anyone would normally do, only I had to hit him 16 times, then he started following me.

My Game Act 4

In this level, I saw a giant silver ring and jumped into it, and I was sent into the Special Stage from Sonic 1, but with blood all over the objects. Then, I saw Amy Rose, rolled up into a ball looking like she did in the title screen. I had to attack her 8 times, as usual, and the 7 Chaos Emeralds appeared.

My Game Act 5

I heard the Sonic 2 Special Stage theme as I entered, and saw Cream. The creepy Sonic stabbed her, and she charged into a Spindash, along with Sonic. Then, we rolled off, running into Super Sneaker monitors. It was just a race against Cream and Sonic, and I had to choose different paths. Cream kept running into spikes, leaving a trail of blood, and after the 8th spike, she stopped and followed me.

My Game Act 666

In this level, I was fighting Sally Acorn, only her eyes were sewn shut. She would use NICOLE to shoot beams at me and scratch at me. I eventually defeated her, her eyes opened up, and she looked upon her friends. She started crying tears of blood because she realized what she did, and the creepy Sonic appeared. Then, a message appeared with the creepy Sonic's face.

"Oh, a tough guy now, are we?"

Then, it cut to the normal Sonic's face and another message.

"Yeah, but who are you?"

Then the creepy Sonic's face.

"I thought you'd never ask. You can just call me Sonic.EXE."

Normal Sonic's face.

"It doesn't matter. What matters is that I'm going to exterminate you!"

Then, it cut to a shot with the normal Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles turning into their normal super forms, along with Robotnik, Amy, Cream, and Sally, who I thought didn't have super forms, but it turns out they do.

The level was called GOD DAMN YOU

This time, all 7 of the main characters were flying across the sky in super forms while the Final Boss theme from Sonic 2 was playing, and while they were flying towards Sonic.EXE, who looked different. He was taller, his gloves were longer, his shoes were gray, and he had a large X across his chest. He would continuously shoot dark matter at everyone, and to attack him, I had to press the space button to fire beams, like those from Dragon Ball Z. After 24 hits, Sonic.EXE slowly started to vanish while text appears and vibrates, and the text says: "This isn't over, Hedgehog! I will return, one day!"

Then, all the super characters flew down into Green Hill Zone, slowly turning into their normal forms. They did victory poses while the Results theme from Sonic 2 played along with the results on screen. I realized that I had been playing for 13 minutes and 31 seconds, and got a total of 40000 points. After the results were done, the credits appeared while a Genesis remix of Sweet Dreams played (I'm not talking about the Sonic 2 ending, but the original version). After the credits, the game closed and downloaded a Sonic 1 ROM.

Later that day, I heard a knock on the door and saw 3 men outside.

"Can I help you?" I asked.

"We just came here to give you this," said the younger one. He handed me a long letter, which was a "Thank you" note that was signed by "Tom."
