C0rRUPT: A Geometry Dash Creepypasta
Geometry Dash is a 2013 game developed by RobTop. It's a load of fun and I've been a player for almost 2 years. I had a friend who didn't always listen to people, and he sometimes didn't care about the dangers he is in. Geometry Dash is his favorite game, and his name, C0rUPT. Was a bit weird.
A couple a months ago, his account was mysteriously hacked and he lost all hope of recovering this account. Presumably, because he used 10MinuteMail.com. The first thing I noticed about the now-hacked account is that he unfriended me from his friend's list, and presumably all of his other friends too.
The first thing he posted on the account was a series of letters, that meant nothing.
One day, I decided to go to Geometry Dash and the first thing I checked was C0rRUPT, All the messages were deleted, a new level was created though.
It was my username. I noticed there were other levels that titles were presumably C0rRUPT's friends as well. I played all the levels, all the songs were Skull.ogg (575472), All the levels started off as a 2x Speed Wave and all the level was their icons.
2 days later, I was sent multiple messages by C0rRUPT, and one of them caught my eye, it was a link to a MEGA download link, so I decided to copy the link down and download whatever he offered me. It was a file called 'GeometryDash.exe", and I thought, "It's a private server.', I did like private servers, I was downloading it anyways. It was the just the program. So I had to download a cracked version of Geometry Dash and replaced the official one with the so-called "Private Server" instead.
There was only 1 account on the server, and it was C0rRUPT. I made my account, and I started playing one of the rated levels, it was called "Glitch", and it was exactly that. During the level, the game started to freak out, putting my icon in random places, and then suddenly kicked me out of the level, I don't know what the fuck that was. And decided to make my own level, I uploaded it and decided to play, it had a black background, despite it supposed to be a dark blue color. This wasn't any Private Server. It was a tampered version by the unknown person, I heard a knock, I ignored it, the knocks got louder, and I decided to see who it was, it was my friend, I was relieved, the game closed and wouldn't open. Nothing would work.
I decided to check the other messages he sent me, there was actually another message sent, and it read "Are you wondering why the game won't open? I am making some changes to the game you may like, :^), expect it to work again in a week." Of course, I waited for the update, and finally, he sent another message saying "It's done. :^)"
I started it, The game started up as a black screen, and it shows the :^) face that he sent me a couple of times, then cuts to the game, my account didn't exist anymore, like, I do not know what kind of fucked up shit he put in this update. The level "Glitch" did the same thing as before, but there was another level, called "The Truth", I was creeped out be thinking why he hacked the account in the first fucking place. The level started on a black screen, and it turned white in a split-second after 10 seconds, what was shown was text moving really, really slow why he hacked the account.
It's really disturbing as I found out the truth about him, and the level ended with a question saying "Do you wanna keep the account?" with an option of yes or no. The level ended, and I said in the comments, "No". He responded pretty fast, and said "Good Choice". I closed the game, and a couple of hours, I started the game back up, only to say, The story is over, and then closing.
The game remained the same for pretty much forever, my friend already made a new account, named InsanitY, and I questioned him why he chose such names, he responded with, "that what my brother turned into." "Insane and corrupted?" I said, "Yes." he responded. The mysterious person kept the account, and is no longer active, I never chose to learn about him, Even including his name. For his sick privacy, I am not saying the name. Everything remains the same, Expect for C0rRUPT.
