CatDog: The Rancid Rabbit Theory

Do you remember CatDog? The classic Nickelodeon cartoon from the 90s is beloved by many, but there was something about it that always mystified me. Rancid Rabbit. He does everything. He appears in almost all the episodes, and is constantly seen doing every single job in town. He's a mayor. He's a toy seller. He's a doctor. He's a pool lifeguard. He's a police officer. He's a manager of a taco restaurant. Rancid Rabbit has done every single job in Nearburg. But did he really do all those jobs? Or was there more to it that the average viewer may not understand?

The Theory

As you may know, there's a joke that rabbits always produce a lot of offspring. There's a joke in Zootopia about Bunnyburrow having a population of 81 million, (81,435,818 to be exact) and it's growing at a rate of roughly 5 bunnies per second. So what if Rancid Rabbit isn't doing all the jobs alone? These could be all his siblings, each of them named Rancid, with the surname of Rabbit. In the second episode of the series, Rancid Rabbit kicks CatDog out of a restaurant just because he doesn't like them. In the third episode, where CatDog deals with fleas, another Rancid Rabbit appears as a doctor and is actually nice to CatDog, and helps them. Then, in the 9th episode "Escape From the Deep End", another Rancid Rabbit appears, but this time as a twisted, abusive prison warden who tortures and puts CatDog to hard labor. At the end of this episode, CatDog escapes into a school that's being run by a female Rancid Rabbit, acting as a teacher, almost proving that they're all different beings. In the 15th episode, "Dead Weight", Rancid rabbit doesn't even know who CatDog is when he sees them, despite going against them before, and he acts amazed at seeing them (as if for the first time ever).

Rancid Rabbit can't be only one rabbit, because it would be impossible to do every single job in town at the same time, at all times of day. If they aren't his siblings, something more sinister could be at hand...

...Rancid could have made a deal with Satan (THE DEVIL!!!), allowing him to create multiple clones of himself, some more wicked than others. Each time one of them fails to best CatDog, he's sent directly to the fiery pits of hell and never returns. The next clone takes his place immediately. Rancid Rabbit can never be stopped, if this is the case. Soon, CatDog will have no choice but to give into his evil demands. Rancid Rabbit is one nasty rabbit.
