Cave Story - To Death
Okay, so this isn't an ordinary story. This is a real thing that happened to me not long ago. My favorite game of all time is Cave Story. I first got it for the PC last year and have loved it ever since. I got the Wii and DSi versions as well. I began to look into the game more. Then, the other day, I saw that people make mods for the game. I was amazed and looked some up. To my surprise, I found a website that had a ton of mods. It was a forum. In one forum thread there was a link to another website. I clicked it and the web page was just white, with a "?". The ? was clickable, so I clicked it. The download came up. The file was called "untitled.zip". So I opened it so I could move it to my Cave Story folder. When I opened it, it had a normal .exe file for the game and a config.exe. I went into the config.exe and things got really weird.
So I opened the config. to find a weird layout. The layout looked like a weird bloody body. It was really weird. I think it supposed to be Pixel (the person who made Cave Story). I changed my controls, ignoring the weird layed out application. After that I went to start the mod. When I started it was the normal cutscene from Cave Story...but after the doctor laughs a bit, Balrog and Misery come out of their cages and rip the doctors head off and there's a realistic scream that sounds like the doctor was in my rooom. It had the title screen but there was no happy Cave Story theme. Just the quiet theme from when your in Mimiga Town with no one there. This put me off and I clicked 'Load Game'. I spawned in some room that didn't seem like one from the real game. The title of the room said: "You shouldn't have done that". I was freaked out. I thought it just a halloween mod or something. I tried to find a way out of this room. But when I went to the door a giant block guy came down and killed me. Quote screamed VERY, VERY loud. It scared me, like a screamer on a Youtube video. I need to go on. It was my destiny. I re-spawned underwater and started to drown. Right before I drowned, King came and picked Quote up and brought him to the balcony. King then said "I never said I was a bad person.". Then King looked at me. Like he looked at the screen. He then said "Look behind you.". I looked behind me and SONIC AND AMY WERE RIGHT BEHIND ME! Sonic then said "Connor...I sure do like prankin' kids..."
