Courage the Cowardly Dog was a Cartoon Network TV show that aired on February 18 – 1996 to November 22 – 2002, so you may notice that Courage has only a DVD release and might say "So? There's Just a DVD Release, what else did they have?" Well, back when courage was popular, a old tape was surfaced back in 1998 as a episode called "Courage Goes Primetime" a old lost episode that can be found in a old tape which was locked and sealed in the vault of Cartoon Network. Unfortunately, that tape was stolen by the voice actor for Courage The Cowardly Dog "Marty Grabstein" where it was later traded in Goodwill and stayed there throughout the years.

In 2017, I was working at Goodwill as a Shelf Inspector where I would arrange stuff and placed stuf. I was at the VHS section when I came across a old tape, it was called "S1E1 – Courage Goes Primetime" the Lable was duct-tape and was in sharpie, the strange thing was that the lable was wonkey and the sharpie writing was smooth, almost like it was real. I slipped it in my coat pocket and finished my shift also trying to act natural and not so...secretive...Afterwards, I placed my keys in and went to my house and looked at the tape closely. There was a copywrite date of "2012" odd, Courage was canceled a few years back and then came back in the form of reruns.

I placed the tape in the VHS player, it first played a airing of "Goosebumps" (well, at least the end of it) after the ending, the credits played where a announcement sayed "Coming Up Next – It's a New Courage the Cowardly Dog Only On Cartoon Network!" After the credits, the intro played and it seemed to be a normal courage episode..boy was I so wrong!

It first started with the titlecard "Courage Goes Primetime" it showed courage's face in a Television screen with a scared face in it, it almost looked like a real episode and right down to the right credits! It began with Murial, nitting and humming to herself when a knock was heard, courage opened the door and found a strange box. Courage opened the box and it showed a remote and a note that says: "Choose Your Future - ???" Courage whimpered and sat down on the floor as he turned on the remote. It suddenly teleported Murial and Eustace right in the television with a cartoony "ZAP!" Courage let out a scream so loud, he literally spat out his heart, blood splurting out of his neck as he choked and coughed; he grabbed his heart and gulped it back down, he turned to the camera and said "Kids, do not try this at home!" he said, before grabbing the remote and changing the channel, it first showed muriel who was being executed by a headless figure, while Eustace was trapped underwater and being eaten by sharks, the figure cut muriel's head, blood dripped out of her neck as the camera showed her head, now in a fearful expression. Courage changed the channel to Eustace who was being devoured by Sharks and then it showed Eustace's body, now cut in half and dripping with blood.

With a heavy heart, courage later went up to the bathroom and locked himself; he reaches into the cabinet and finds a bottle of Backpain pills, he opened the cap and then said to the audience "I can't stand being the scared one, the abuse must be stopped!" he dumped the pills into his mouth and swallowed, he choked and fell on the floor. The credits played and then...Well, suddenly, sparks flew out of my VHS player and exploded.

The tape was now offically lost, I tried contacting everyone but seemed to can't find one. I managed to contact Cartoon Network who revealed that another company made the episode for them, it was later revealed to be a Indian company named "SonaSoon" who were not only tax comapnies but responcible for bootlegging episodes on VHS tapes, the same tapes I recieved from Goodwill.
