Diesel the Construction Worker

I would like to share a TRUE story of a good old friend named Diesel. Please take this seriously.

It was the summer of 2004, I applied for a job as a construction worker, believe it or not, I was helping reconstruct the second tower of "you know what". It was a hard job to do, I was pretty shy communicating with my fellow workers. At lunch I sat alone, a friendly worker named Diesel came to me, he made me feel happy. We talked for a bit until after lunch, there was an assembly. We discussed a few things here and there and I was very smart-thinking of the ideas. If it wasn't for Diesel, I would not have spoken said words and I wouldn't have been employee of the month on the second month of working there.

Diesel officially became best friends with me, we talk everyday at work, we visit one another's houses every saturday, it was all going well.

That until 2007, our construction company was filed a lawsuit and we all lost our jobs. Diesel went ill, the thing is, Diesel was a lucky homeless man who managed to get a job as a construction worker, now that his career is lost, he is hopeless.

I have not seen him since then, for 8 years I have been living with my family at a medium-end house and a good wealth. That until 2 days ago, I received a package, it was from Diesel's lawyer.

Diesel has died from severe lung cancer, according to his will, all his belongings would go to me. I found a teddy bear, a dog collar, a miniature TV, a 1940s radio and a mini fridge full of food. In the fridge was a bunch of canned nuts.

I cried, felt in a deep depression for hours, all I can look back at are DIES'S NUTS.

... Got eeem'!
