Evolution
Hmm, nobody seems to remember. We were told it was a new day, but it was a great one. It would change us forever. How right were we...?
Unknown Date. Possibly 1000 BC
Something's not right. It looks like us but it's not like us at all. I can just see it. All the evil, lies, deceit. Why does nobody else see this? Why does nobody listen?
Unknown Date. Possible 500 BC
It's grown. It's bred. This is bloody fantastic. There's gonna be more of them soon. I can just picture it. All of them walking around. Their evil... their... stink spreading, flooding this beautiful planet. It makes me sick right to the core.
No... stop. I can't think like that. That would make me like them.
Unknown Date.
Well, this is fantastic; there are about 10,000 of them now. Great.
Unknown Date.
Holy—they've started attacking us! I knew they couldn't be trusted. I knew they were evil. I KNEW IT WAS A MATTER OF TIME UNTIL THEY CORRUPTED THIS PLANET. Now it's only a matter of time before they destroy it with their madness.
1200 AD
Right, I've barricaded myself into my house. Everyone is dead now. Their screams of terror I hear in the night. But it looks like I'm gonna be here for a while.
1971
It's been many generations since the massacre, but they've all calmed down now. I haven't changed though. I think they've spread to me. My emotion toward them, I've never felt this way before... DAMN IT!
2011
Well. My time has come to an end. This is the last note.
They called it perfect. I saw otherwise. I think they are starting to see their errors as well.
They said it was evolution.
They called it "human".
It's no longer worthy of that name. It wasn't evolution. It was destruction, death, lies, corruption and evil. All rolled into one simple species.
Whoever reads this, I leave you with this final note. Have you ever wondered about the origin of the phrase "Nobody's Perfect"?
