Fable 2: Monk of Light
I borrowed Fable 2 from my neighbor and this is the story of the Monk of Light in the game of Fable 2. I was running through Brightwood and I saw a man running, so I chased after him, but he led me to a town exit. When I came out on the other side, he was no where in sight. A few hours later, I saw him in Bowerstone Market and, again, he led me to a town exit. At this point, I was getting a little suspicious. The next day, I had my friend over and I decided to play Fable as he watched. The man appeared again. This time, before he got a chance to turn and run, I drew my crossbow (At the time I was using a light willow crossbow (best), which does 53.0 damage). He fell where he stood (I had safety off because I had just killed a farmer for fun). I ran to where he was and saw he was in the standard Monk of Light robe, boots, and gloves. I said to my friend, "He had been showing up lately. Well, now I don't have to worry." But as I started to walk away again, the monk got up and ran past me. I shot him again with my crossbow and he fell again. This time, I turned safety back on because I was trying not to get caught by the guards. He stood up AGAIN and ran away, this time into the cave near Brightwood. I dint give chase because me and my friend were looking at each other with a "what the hell just happened?" look on our faces. I had stopped playing the game for a few days when I got back on and decided to play and finish the quest I was doing: "Till Death Do Us Part." But just as I got on, I saw the monk run away again. This time just as I had loaded my game when I didn't remember him being there when I saved. I went to ask my neighbor if anything had happened like this before and he replied, "Nah, but it's probably nothing," and he continued to play Skyrim (Yes, this story is that recent), so I returned to my house and started to play again, and I have yet to see him again. I will update the story whenever I see him. And if anything similar has happened to you before, please inform me of your story; it would make me feel much more secure to know that I wasn't the only one being tormented by this terrible Monk of Light.
Day 2 of updating: I haven't played Fable today, but I am going to play later tonight, so I will tell you about it tomorrow.
