Family Guy: Peter's Relationship

Family Guy is a show on Fox that first aired in 1999. While the first 7-ish seasons are good, the rest are okay to horrible. The reason for the show's decline in quality is a lost episode from season 6.

I was a Family Guy writer from 2006 to 2009. I had just finished writing the episode "Lois Kills Stewie" when Seth MacFarlane (the guy who created Family Guy) approached me. He gave me a USB drive with the lost episode. "Can you watch this episode the studio just produced?" he asked me. I said yes. "Whatever you do, do not tell anyone about this episode." I thought his behavior was a little off, but I went home anyway.

I plugged the USB drive into my computer. In it, there was a file named "peter.mp4". I clicked it.

The normal Family Guy intro played. The shot cut to Peter's house. Lois was scolding Peter about something Peter had done (I don't remember exactly what he did).

"Peter, I have had enough of your shenanigans causing endless destruction! It's been 20 years since our marriage, and not once have you done something for your family!" Lois shouted.

Peter started crying, but then he stopped. Something had snapped in him.

"No! I have had enough of you controlling me! Today, I become a man!" Peter replied angrily. Then, out of his rage, he pushed Lois to the ground. I was shocked. Peter might do something like that to Meg, but he loved Lois too much to do that to her.

"Did--did you just push me?" Lois asked.

"Yes! And there's more where that came from!" Peter shouted. He started beating Lois. I almost threw up watching.

Stewie then walked into the room. "Stewie, can you hand the phone to Mommy? She has to make a phone call," Lois said.

Stewie replied, "I don't think so," and started attacking her with the phone. I expected Stewie to do that.

A timecard appeared that said, "1 year later". Family Guy didn't have timecards.

It cut to the hospital. "Mrs. Griffin, your arms and legs are broken from repeated blunt force trauma," Dr. Hartman said.

"Hey, Lois, I--" Peter said before he was cut off.

"You stay away from me, Peter!" Lois warned. She tried to escape, but couldn't.

"There's more," Dr. Hartman said. "Your brain activity is declining. Soon, you will die."

"Oh my God!" Lois exclaimed. Her eyes started closing. Soon, she was dead. At her funeral, Peter cried and cried. Then, he turned to the camera and said, "It was you! You did this to us! Shame on you! I hope you go to hell!" That was unexpected.

It cut to Peter's house. The Griffin family was facing the camera. Peter said, "Without Lois, we're nothing. Goodbye." They put guns in their mouths and pulled the triggers. They were dead in seconds.

It faded to a black screen with text saying, "You made us do this."

A few days later, I contacted Seth about the episode. He replied, "I originally made that episode to vent my anger at Fox executives for forcing me to continue Family Guy. Just forget about it." But I never would. To this day, I have never seen Family Guy the same again...
