Halloween Candy...

It's fun to catch them trick or treating

Listen to their bodies barely breathing

Lapping up the blood they're bleeding

Remembering the events preceding

Seething, tensing, my body urging

Carefully concealed in the dark verdant

Pouncing on them, my adrenaline surging

My claws and their gut grotesquely merging

Looking to the sweet cavity now exposed

Screams unheard, location undisclosed

Intestines pulled out neatly juxtaposed

Excited to watch them decompose

Suddenly my eyes fixate on the mask

Astronaut helmet, the visor cracked

Looking to candy, the mask, and back

The craving for flesh must multitask

Mixture of flavors; eyeballs and sweets

Savoring the taste of my victims defeat

Hungering for more, but knowing how to feed

Move to the next house, say "trick or treat?"
