Helloworld.exe
I am going to record a journal of the events after the finding of this laptop.
I have a strange feeling about it.
3:07 P.M.: I find the laptop and bring it to my home. I put it on the second floor in my bedroom. My wife isn't home yet.
4:02 P.M.: I boot up the laptop. It plays the Windows 95 startup sound. It must be and old laptop concerning the OS.... but it mustve been kept sealed up tight for it to look this new.
4:03 P.M.: I reach the desktop. It has a sterile white backround..... why? I also see 4 icons. One is the recycle bin.... I click on it first... but it's empty. The next folder is named Pokemon. The owner mustve been a boy. It is full of images of all the GEN I pokemon.
4:05 P.M.: I am finished examining all the images.. just normal pokemon.
4:06 P.M.: The next Icon.... HelloWorld.exe...... I doubleclick it....
4:09 P.M.: That took a long time to start up....... But the executable file seems to be a game.... there are two buttons. One is START and the other is OPTIONS... I click on options. It only has a few sliders to adjust the volume and such.... but besides that there is a BACK button. I click on it and I am brought to the Main menu. I click on START and hear a loud.. peircing sound... Like the speakers were right next to my ears. Then the program froze up.. I tried ctr-alt-del'ing out of it.. but I was only brought to a console. Tough luck. On the console the words "hello world" appeared. Then the computer crashed.
4:18 P.M.: I finished booting up the laptop. The background is now black. The POKEMON folder is missing. I now open the fourth icon... LONELYWATERS.
4:19 P.M.: I doubleclick on this video file but nothing happens....
4:23 P.M.: I hear a loud gushing sound... its coming from my basement....
4:24 P.M.: The sound is getting louder... its at my door.. no....
Journal ends there folks....
The victim was found drenched in blood and his wife's corpse lying next to him. The blood was everwhere on him but on nothing else.
