Hide and Seek from Hell
I used to love hide and seek. But ever since this incident 5 years ago, it has became one of the most horrifying things me and a couple of my friends can imagine.
Me and a couple of my friends wanted to play hide and seek this one day, we where all 11.It was very snowy and we decided to play at night since we where all neighbors we could hang out a lot. For privacy reasons, my friends names have been changed, there was Joe, David, and Sam. Our neighborhood was pretty small, with only about 5 houses in a cul-de-sac. 3 of them where my friend's houses and the other was an old Victorian home, we rarely saw the owner.
So while one of my friends was counting me and Sam went to find a hiding spot. We chose a spot by the neighbors house. about 2 minutes into the round, i decided i wanted to move to a different spot in the yard.
10 minutes later, Joe had found me and David but not Sam we continued looking for another 5 minutes then we gave up and called for him to come out, but he didn't respond, so we called again, but still no response. So I told my friends where I last saw Sam, which is where I left him. We went over to the spot and we saw oddly large footprints, and tracks looking like something big had been dragged to the neighbors house. We went in and told Sam's dad and he went out and looked, 10 seconds later he came back into the house, looking like he had just seen a ghost. he went down to his basement and came back up holding a 12 gauge shotgun. he told us to stay on the property. We went out to where we could see the neighbors house, and we saw Sam's dad kick down the door, walk in to the pitch-black house,then, i heard the scariest sound in my life, 4 shotgun blasts. Then, 1 minute later, Sam's dad coming out of the hose holding the unconscious Sam in his hands. he had multiple wounds to his head and face, indicating he had been hit with a blunt object.
15 minutes later the police arrived. We saw Sam get put into a ambulance and driven off. We also saw police carrying out a full body bag, which we assumed was the neighbor that Sam's dad had shot.
After he had healed up Sam told us his story. He said that about 3 minutes after i left, the neighbor snuck up behind him and hit him with something hard, that was all he could remember. The next thing he recalled was waking up in the hospital room 2 hours later.
This is why I never play hide and seek anymore.
