History Tends to Repeat Itself

I've heard the term "history tends to repeat itself," but I never thought it was true, until I had the unfortunate experience of meeting J.D. Quizno.

It was a normal day for me, nothing like I'm used to by now, when I saw a man about in his late 40's or early 50's trying to get his groceries into his car. I offered to help the seemingly harmless man.

He accepted my assistance.

After his groceries were all packed up and ready to go, I noticed something familiar. Something that made my skin crawl.

The next day at school, his face was still floating in my subconscious. I finally gave up and started paying attention.

Our psychology teacher, Mr. Carnes, wanted us to write a report on what could drive somebody to be a serial killer.

After arriving at my house, my mother and step-father were anywhere to be found. I thought they may have just gone to get groceries or run some more errands. I logged onto my computer and typed into the search bar "well known serial killers".

I stumbled across the name John Wayne Gacy. It sounded interesting, so I scrolled my cursor over the link and clicked. My old dial-up computer was so slow. Eventually a photo popped up of a John Wayne Gacy.

I was in awe it was the same man who I had helped in the parking lot of Kroger. I scrolled down to find out more about this man when I saw something that shouldn't, couldn't, have been there. John Wayne Gacy died over 10 years ago.

I scratched my head and pondered how this could be possible. Finally thinking it could just be a coincidence, I walked to Kroger to pick up a few things. You know, kid's stuff, the things we don't really need.

Upon arriving at the store, an officer of the law stopped me and said, "Young man, you should be careful around here without an adult, some unknown man has been abducting children."

At that moment, I knew something was terribly wrong in my small town of Hamilton. To be completely honest with you, that's as far as I can remember.

Sorry I have to go, my laptops about to die. Anyway, J.D. is calling me for dinner.
