In the Background

You have probably seen the ponies in the background, you know, Vinyl Scratch, Dr Whooves, Lyra, Bon Bon and Derpy Hooves, who you haven't seen, is me. Oh, but you bet I'm there, and even though you can't see me. I always see you.

I'm always staring directly at you, into your soul. In pony crowds, remember the gala? I was there, waiting for you to notice me, luckily for you, you didn't. If you had seen me, you wouldn't be reading this, you'd be at my side, like the good friends we are.

Remember the Smile song? How you were thrilled with the music, and seeing your favorite ponies dance and laugh? I was there, waiting for you to glance at me. You haven't seen me... yet. At the end, all of you will be my friends, all of you will be at my side at one point.

Go ahead, rewatch an episode, maybe this time you'll see me, maybe this time I decide to talk to you. But you don't have to watch an episode for you to notice me, I can communicate with you, interact with you, maybe meet you, want to know where I am at this moment? You hear that voice in your mind that you hear while reading this? It's me, whispering at your ear.
