I love Mario. I get every game when it's new, I have most of the Mario plushes, and I play his games every day. However, I will never forget the time I played a hacked game...

I was browsing the Internet when I saw a pop-up that said, "Super Mario Bros. Free Download!" I knew that I shouldn't click it, but something in me did. The file's name was Mariodeath666.win. I thought that was weird, but I clicked it.

The title screen was odd. The sky was black, and there was blood all over the ground. I knew that this wasn't just a minor glitch. It was hacked. Nevertheless, I pressed Enter.

Immediately, I noticed that there was a kill count on the bottom of the screen. I started playing, trying to avoid breaking bricks. Then I lost control of Mario. He said, "You're a-bad at-a playing me, Mario! Let me-a show you how to-a play my game!" What followed was horiffic. Mario started stomping on Toads and breaking bricks (if you don't know, bricks are transformed Toads). Then it cut to an abandoned woods. I was confused why he was doing this, but it became clear. There was his house. Luigi was there. Mario went behind him and snapped his neck. It cut to Peach's Castle. It was the middle of the night, and Peach was sleeping. Mario appeared and dragged her out of her bed and to a cliff. "Mario, what are you doing?" she said. Mario didn't respond. Instead, he pushed her off the cliff. It cut to the bottom of the cliff. Peach was a mess of pixelated blood and guts. It cut to Bowser planning a way to destroy Mario. Suddenly, an axe appeared and decapitated him. It was revealed that Mario threw the axe. He said, "So long, traitors!"

Two police Toads appeared and arrested Mario, who was now blood-stained. It cut to an electric chair. Mario was sat in it, and it was turned on. Mario burst into pixelated blood and guts. The game closed, and a message box appeared that said, "Thank you-a so much for-a playing your game..." My computer turned off. I tried turning it on to no avail. I took it to a tech repair shop and found out that the motherboard was fried. Never, ever, trust a pop-up saying, "Super Mario Bros. Free Download!" It could be Mariodeath666.win.
