Metroid Prime: The End

Metroid Prime. It all started after I played through the game for the 10th time, something happened in the Wii that scratched my game so I did a technique to fix it. But it didn't exactly fix the game, it made it worse.

As I was going through the Phazon Core in the Impact Crater, there was a glitch in the game where whenever you destroyed a Metroid instead of getting a hyper bomb refill, you would get a green ball with a glowing, red, spark in the middle. Your charge beam wouldn't attract it so I always had to touch it to get it. Whenever I got it I would take 66 damage and lose 67 missiles. Of course, this gave me no advantage in the game so I always avoided it.

When Samus defeats Metroid prime, she has to face the Essence of Metroid Prime. Also, there are Metroid that he spawns when spewing out the Phazon you need to kill him.

So when he was almost dead he summoned the last puddle of Phazon needed to kill him, I stepped in it and started shooting him. however, at the same time I killed a Metroid that he had spawned but this time when I killed the Metroid, it spawned a large blue hyper bomb refill with black carvings on the side.

Seeing as it was the end of the game, I grabbed it thinking what's the worst that can happen? The moment I grabbed it my health started dropping faster than it does in Phazon without the suit. The sounds Samus was making were worse than normal, they were terrifying! I panicked and quickly finished killing the boss, then the cut scene started, but I was still hearing the horrific sounds of Samus getting damaged! At this point I was wondering "what the hell is going on?".

The final cut scene kept going on and when the Essence of Metroid Prime tried sucking the life out of you, Samus would keep screaming in pain and eventually lost her Phazon Suit, but it didn't stop there, it kept going on until she lost her gravity suit, her Varia Suit all the way until she was zero suit. At this point I knew this was not supposed to happen but I kept watching to see what was going on. She got back into her ship and watched as the Impact Crater blew up in flames. Right before she left the planet Essence of Metroid Prime's face appeared on the screen with Samus screaming in pain! The screen went black, shortly after words popped up with a blue screen, red words, and black ooze dripping from the words... saying "IT WILL NEVER END!" suddenly I'm back at the title screen with a new file named "THE END". I put off the game for the day because the offness of the game was getting to me.

The next day I decided to play on the file to see what it was, as I loading the game I found myself in the Hall of Elders room in Chozo ruins with 66 health and 67 missiles. I was freaking out to see that those numbers were the same as the damage took and the missiles lost whenever I absorbed the green ball with the red spark. Seeing as I had all 4 weapons with the Phazon Suit I knew that I was close to end of the game, I checked my log book to see my progress on the Artifacts and saw that I had all 12 collected, but the names of them were different. They were all called "I AM YOUR END" with the description of "; the Sun Chamber, Phendrana's Edge, and  Impact Crater." I've played through this game countless times and I know that this is NOT supposed to happen.

I rushed to the Sun Chamber in Chozo ruins and found a Ghost Pirate floating above the plant where Flaghra was, with his hands covering his face. I ran up to him and heard an extremely loud scream. It quickly disappeared and another large blue hyper bomb refill appeared. Not wanting to die, I turned around and booked it to Phendrana's Edge in Phendrana drifts. As I entered the room, it was dark, like the sky had been sucked out and all there was, was a pitch, black sky.

Shortly after I entered the room I began to hear a crumbling sound and a deep voice yelling at me. I looked down at the bottom and there it was, Metroid Prime in spider form crawling up the room devouring anything in its path! I turned around and started running through the level into the Thardus room, and into the elevator to bring me back to Magmoor Caverns. As I took the elevator I noticed Samus didn't have her helmet on. It looked as if she thought something terrible was coming. As the cut scene finished, I made my way through the caverns, into Tallon Overworld, and back into the Impact Crater.

Coming into the impact Crater I noticed that all the red Phazon was now blue, and that I was free to walk onto it, in fact instead of taking damage I would get healed instead. I kept moving not daring to stop, and as I entered Phazon Core, there were no Metroids around and no sound coming through the game. I climbed to the top and entered to room to fight the boss.

He wasn't there; Metroid Prime wasn't hanging as usual. I walked to the center of the room and nothing happened. The floor was opened, so I jumped down and noticed the floor in this room had also caved in, I kept jumped down the holes until I reached the final room.

That's when I finally saw it; this large, fearsome, black, looking creature looking like it had its eyes gauged out! It came running at me screaming, "THIS IS THE END FOR YOU!", it grabbed Samus and threw her at the wall, her armour gave way over the tremendous amount of force behind the throw and broke into tiny, little pieces. she was frozen in mid air and couldn't move! The creature walked up to her and started eating her alive! With screams coming from Samus, I put my hand over my mouth panicking!

What the hell was happening? How could a simple scratch on the disk overwrite this much data?! As the creature finished up with Samus he turned to the camera and crept up to me giving a look I've never seen before, I was terrified. I could hear the disk in the console spinning so fast that it was breaking my Wii, smoke was emitting from my Wii. The creature finally stopped and said...... "The end of humanity is here, you and your race are finished!" He then gave a loud scream and the game shut down. That was the end of Metroid for me, I took the game out, broke it into pieces, and burned it. Hoping to never see it again.
