Mickeymouse.mp4

I love learning about lost media. From TV shows, live action, video games, and real events. You name it. Recently something caught my eye, and it was quite an unnerving experience. I am poor so I can't afford a laptop, and all I own is the first iPhone from 2007 that I've owned for as long as I can remember. This specific event really caught my eye as it was a piece of media I discovered on accident.

I walk to the library every night at 7. Just 30 minutes before closing time, and after I am done working. I go there because they have computers I can use, rather than buying one I couldn't afford. I downloaded Steam on one of the computers so I can play Team Fortress 2. As I was starting up the computer, a new file that had just been downloaded called Mickeymouse.mp4. It sounded like a title of a bad creepypasta, but since I loved lost media, I wanted to check it out.

As that classic cartoon intro with Mickey Mouse's head started appearing, it's bright yellow background gave me a trip down memory lane. The cartoon was supposed to begin the cartoon, but the intro went on for much longer. It lasted a full 2 minutes. I eventually got tired of it and was gonna close it and play something else, the music stopped, and then, flashing red text went around Mickey's head. It was so fast I could barely see any text.

But I happened to spot a few sentences. One saying "Life is only temporary", another saying "You are disposable" and another one saying "Comply or face consequences" and "You will be sacrificed for the greater good".

This spooked me out, and it eventually ended abruptly, with a black screen appearing for about a minute or so. This spooked me out, and I tried looking up any information about it, but no results.

I have no idea what happened, but it was ingrained in my memory forever.
