My Most Recent Nightmare

I was in this town where there was some illness going around. The illness turned children into these monsters, that were oddly enough, all bright primary colors. I was hanging out with a friend in the dream at the time when we looked outside to see the wry creatures, when we decided to go over to our other friend's house to see if she was OK.

She was our only female friend in that particular group of friends. So we went over to her apartment... the stairs seemed like they went on forever. I spent like 20 minutes climbing the stairs alone. When we finally got there, it seemed like no one was home. The lights were out, but there was a pot on the stove and we could smell it so we decided to go inside, for the door was unlocked.

We looked around but it was dark. So I looked in the bathroom when I saw her mom. Her mother was really pale. I called out to her, but... she didn't answer.

After about 30 seconds of me standing there, she looked over... I regret seeing her face. Her eyes were completely black. You don't know what it's like to see a dear friend's mom like that, you have no clue what's happening. In some weird way, it was some of the greatest fear I've ever experienced.

I couldn't move, I was paralyzed in fear... completely helpless. Then I had a strange sense of Déjà Vu, like it had happened before. So I was standing there, not able to move, when my friend managed to choke out the words "Her arm". It was burnt, badly. Like flesh falling off. At that point my instincts kicked in, I ran, and it chased me. When it caught me was when I woke up.
