Neck Doll

I was only 1 when SpongeBob SquarePants came out. I really enjoyed it! Let's fast forward, I was only 13 and my mom had bought me and my sisters a SpongeBob dvd. It looked rather normal, and that night we watched it. It started with the coming next to nick, and it was also normal, but did we know the horror in that dvd. My 3 year old sister was getting tired, so we put her to bed. When we got back we noticed that a weird nick logo was on. It was a version of a face, but it was black. The nick logo was dripping blood, and it was creepy.

The regular intro played. Nothing was wrong. The title card was very weird. It said "Neck Doll". It was very distorted, and was blood red. The regular music was playing. It started with SpongeBob watching tv. He was happy! Then the door slowly opened. It was of a black figure with no mouth. It was the same one as the on the nick logo! SpongeBob heard it,and was confused. The figure got closer, and the screen went black. You could hear a weird scratchy sound from the tv. The episode went back on, SpongeBob was dead. He was stabbed many times, and the whole floor was covered in blood. The figure left the house and went to Squidward's house, Squidward started screaming in a weird voice. The next scene show Squidward's lifeless corpse with a very deep low tone playing. It was even more graphic than SpongeBob's body. Me, my mom, and my sister were on the verge of passing out. How could Paramount make this?

The figure then went to Patrick's rock, and you could also hear the screaming. The figure came out with gasoline and matches. It poured it all over Bikini Bottom, and than lit the match. The whole town went on fire and after 5 minutes. It displayed the town after the massacre. The screen faded to black, and after 5 seconds, a weird message came on. It said,"Don't mess up with Bob, or else he'll kill you". I was confused, who was bob?

The credits played, they were slower, and it was distorted. The title was blood red. When it was over a picture of red mist Squidward was shown, followed by a reversed red,distorted Nickelodeon logo. When it was over, it sent us back to the comings soon to nick set up. My mom immediately injected the tape,and was nervous. She made sure the doors were locked, and we went to bed. I was actually traumatized by this. I loved SpongeBob, and I had to see this. I needed answers.

I sent a letter to nick, showing the dvd. I got a response a week later.

"Hello, I am an executive manager on Nickelodeon. I am here to answer your questions. In 2006, we wanted to add a recurring character to the show. We have a writer info, and he made an episode featuring the character. It was immediately rejected because it was too dark, but the writer had already made a dvd featuring it. We had hid the dvd, but someone must have mistaken it for something. I am very sorry for what you saw. We will discard all evidence of that episode as soon as possible."

To this day, I have never watched a SpongeBob dvd. My sister has PTSD now, and it's all because of what we saw. My advice for you, is that when you buy or find a dvd, always check it before watching. You never know what you will find. But here's a question I'm wondering about,"What happened to Bob?"
