Obsessive

Have you ever wondered what the hell makes those obsessive compulsive people do what they do? I have, and that's what led me to the findings of a certain psychologist and his test subjects.

As in turns out, most of the time when a person suffering OC disorder performs a ritual or action caused by his disorder, the person's brain fires out mixed signals, the patient sweats uncontrollably, especially if he or she is trying to resist the urge to do what they have to do, and more importantly, their eyes... when a person who has OCD does something because of the disorder, like, say, tapping their hand on the nearest wall because he burped, he goes through a phase of REM, or rapid eye movement associated chiefly with recurring nightmares.

What does this mean, though? Well, for our doctor it meant that eight out of ten of his test subjects have their own invisible monsters. The cases of his lab rats vary, there's an eighty-two year old World War II veteran, a boy who just turned sixteen this June, a twenty eight year old woman. Just different types of people who shared something in common; they were all obsessed with keeping up their daily rituals, whatever the cost and the doctor believed he found out why.

He believes that these people, at one point in their lives saw or experienced something, compelling them, commanding them to oblige or to suffer. Naturally they comply with the conditions, thinking it would deter the threat, but it doesn't. It eats at them, that thing or place that scares them the most and it keeps commanding them to do something they don't really want to or understand, each time they do that it keeps the being satisfied for the moment, keeping them safe. This "nightmare" is what children refer to as the bogeyman, the thing in the closet, slenderman, stiltwalker, smiledog, zalgo, mummies, ghosts and all of the horrible things in the world. Really, all of us, in a way suffer from obsessive compulsive disorder, but just not as bad as these others. The monsters gnaw at our subconscious, tearing us apart from within.

The nightmare can strike at anytime. He can be merciful or relentless, straightforward or backhanded, it doesn't matter. If he hasn't already caught you he will. Going senile? Yeah, it's just that sometimes when people grow old they sometimes get the courage to confront the beast, and it almost never ends well. You can't tell what it might make you do, too. Sometimes he makes you bang your head, if you're lucky. He might make you punch your desk, scream until your throat hurts, or even just write random seq uoq lakshckljas90 2u9wjfiak. The worst thing is that you forget all about him. Every single time. Well, almost every single toiasmnasdas.asdafqwaf9210qrwo fpjasl.
