PS2 Red Edition

The console itself.

We all knew about the fresh Playstation line-of-game consoles, my favorite ones were the Playstation 2, 3, and even the 5. But there was a limited edition of the PS2 in which it was red...

You know, it all started around 2009 and I was watching TV, after watching TV for a good 2 hours, I got out my old PS2 and plugged it into my TV. I was ready to play, inserting my copy of Anubis II, pressing the power button, and sitting on my comfy chair.

When the console booted up, I was greeted with the Red Screen of Death. "What's happening with my game?" I shuttered in confusion before ejecting the game disc and putting it back in its case. I then pulled up a copy of GTA Vice City, I inserted the copy of this game into my PS2, and it was the same result.

"What the fuck?" I said before ejecting the disc. So, I tried inserting all of my copies of the games that I had like Resident Evil 4, Underground 2, Silent Hill 2, etc, but it always gave me the Red Screen of Death. "Forget it," I said before turning off and plugging off my PS2, tossing it into the trash and I went to a nearby GameStop to find a new PS2.

Unfortunately, there were no PS2s for sale, it was only selling GameCubes, Xbox 360's, XBoxes, Wii, and even Playstation 3's. While searching for a PS2, to my surprise, I found one. It was the original PS2 but it was red, just RED like it was a (Product) Red edition. Anyways, I brought it for 5 pounds before taking it home.

When I reached my house, I went inside, turned on the TV, plugged in my new PS2, grabbed my controller, and sat on the couch as I was ready to taste my brand new PS2, or is it...

The console booted up with the normal boot-up sequence but it was red along with the small moving colored lights, when the menu came on, I inserted my copy of Anubis II and inserted my memory card.

When the game booted up, I selected the first stage and began playing. But the stage's textures are now corrupted while a very few had Anubis' face on it like it was being corrupted with a ROM corruptor and the music was now a crude violin with realistic screaming mixed into it. When I finished the stage, Anubis didn't do an earrape howl, but instead, it was the sound of someone screaming.

After playing Anubis II, I took the disc out of the system and inserted GTA Vice City.

The thing was worse than what I have seen in Anubis II, Everything was red, the cars, the sky, the character, etc. There were even textures that were completely red with an image of human insides ripped off, each time I died I would be greeted with a scene of a hand taking out a human inside while the guy screamed at the top of his lungs, one after one, first it was the Liver, then came time for the Lungs, then it called a day by pulling out a heart, each time the scene ended the character would have less health, after the last scene(When he pulled the heart out) I was at the top floor of the building, hanging from the edge.

"Please, Tommy! I will do anything you want! Do you want money? Do you want Ferrari? I'll give it to you!" Shouted Sonny. "NEVER YOU MOTHERFUCKER!" Tommy Screamed at the top of his lungs, He stepped on Sonny's hand, and watched him fall from the heights, as he screamed at the top of his lungs, then fell to the ground as he blew up into a bloody mess.

After that, I ejected the disc and inserted it in Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec.

While I was racing in the game, the car suddenly spazzed out and crashed over a sign, killing anyone nearby, it later fades to black and then text that said "DID YOU HAD MADE THE 2147483647 KM/H GLITCH, KIDDO?". I was scared before ejecting the disc and then inserted Bratz: Rock Angelz (I don't know why I got this).

When the game started, I was playing as Cloe (Angel) and I was navigating her all over the map until I found an alleyway with a table with a shotgun on top of it at the end. So I ran into it and Cloe somehow picked it up, suddenly, I got a mission to kill 50 people and commanded me to use the right trigger to shoot, so I did. While I was shooting some NPC characters in the game with my shotgun, a pop-up appeared saying "Congratulations! You completed the mission! Now run away from the cops from this horrible city before they catch you up!", so I did it too.

The pop-up then closed by itself and I could hear the sounds of police sirens as police cars approached me, when they approached me, a speedometer appeared in the lower right corner of the screen as I put on my rollerskates and zoomed away from the cops as the cars followed me as the sirens still played. Suddenly, the game froze and another pop-up appeared saying "You can't use rollerskates! Try stealing a car!", so I also did after the pop-up closed and the game unfroze. I walked into a car and got into it and zoomed away as the cars still followed me, the chase took like 5 minutes before the cars got closer to me and got into me before it cut to black. Just pitch black.

I then ejected the disc and inserted Contra: Hard Cops. However when it booted up, it didn't boot but after minutes of waiting, a weird low-quality FMV of a man hitting a lady with a machete began to play, the floor is covered in blood, I then gagged at this point before ejecting the disc and inserting Ty the Tasmanian Tiger, but instead of booting into the actual game, it booted into some weird debug screen with white text and black background with a red hue. I then ejected the disc and inserted a PlayStation game, called 007 Racing, but the same thing, but during minutes of wandering around the debug menu, a grainy black-and-white image of a cloaked man wielding the same weapon from that demented "Rock Angels" experience and a machete as heavy breathing was heard on the background, later after 1 minute, smoke started to come off of the console.

"What the?" I said before unplugging the console and then peeling the plastic with a hammer as the smoke was still coming from the "PS2", after peeling all of the plastic and components, the console burst into fire and burnt some of the tables I was destroying the console, but luckily, I had a fire extinguisher to extinguish the fire, but the table was almost burnt, with the console being burnt into a crisp. I then later brought the PS2 outside and buried it underground.

It's 2014 now... A good 5 years since it last happened. I'm browsing the internet on Reddit. I see a thread called r/creppygamingexperiences and click on it, being the total idiot I am. Immediately the first reply is the same story as i: It's about a red PS3...
