Pokemon Crystal Edition
Not to be confused with Pokemon Crystal, which is a different story.
My name is Jeremy and this article is about a game I bought not to long ago called Pokemon Crystal.
I bought the game because we were arguing which generation was better and I have never played Crystal so I went to a local store to buy it and the store guy said he had one but they keep returning it because "They got bored of it." he said but whatever. I bought it and he immediately said "No refunds, got it?" I was ok with it because I keep all games no matter what. So I got home and examined the cartridge to make sure it wasn't broken in any way. I noticed unlike the other games where you can see the year it was released, it didn't have that. That and and the Nintendo logo weren't on the game the second I noticed it. It didnt have a model # either. Ignoring it, I popped it in and began playing it. It started ok and I picked my starter and what not.Then I beat the Elite Four champion, but then everything changed when I visited the Kanto region. Every single town song was in a lower pitch than the original. I thought it was a glitch until I beat Brock. Then the maddness began, he opened his eyes and said "God help us all" and he began to bleed from his eyes!
The music changed to the Lavender Town and I was able to get out of the gym after the cutscene of defeating Brock. I kept going because I though it was interesting and fucked up that Nintendo put that in there. Then I proceded down to Pallet Town only to be caught by one of the local trainers. I sent out my Marowak only for it to faint, so I sent out my Feraligatr but then his HP bar was glitched, it ran off across the screen. After defeating the trainer it read "The Trainer Fled!" My character was missing and so was the trainer I just battled, and a tombstone was in the trainers place. My character was still there obviously because whenever I tried to move you could hear bumping noise that you hear when you hit a wall. After many failed attempts to read the tombstone or move out of there, I remembered I had barely caught a Pokemon. Then, I pressed start looked at my team, and I noticed that a pokemon had replaced my Marowak. It was called GHOST. It was level 1 and only knew Curse. Also my Feraligatr looked different. It had dark, red eyes and it had a status called POS. Interested, I looked it up constantly but no result came up to what had happened to my pokemon. Anyways I flew back to Pewter City (my character came back) and went back down to investigate my Marowak. The tombstone read in Unown letters: Here lies the soul of a pokemon overworked. He will devour every last bit of strength that keeps you alive.
I was pissed because someone had obviously tampered with it and after that, the glitches came running. First, I tried to battle with my Feraligatr and the trainer said "You can't battle with pokemon like THAT!" I looked at my Feraligatr and it had somehow transformed to a level 122 Ivysaur that when thrown into battle, turns into an Octillery that knows Wing Attack, Clamp, Withdraw, and Milk Drink. Next my freshly caught Snorlax only gained 6 exp, but never stopped leveling up until it reached to lvl 100 and then proceeded to evolve into a fainted egg.
Those People that tamper games must be stopped. Its fucked up and disgusting for kids to see. This is my first tampered game experience and I hope no one else gets one.
P.S. for the sake of the game, I lit it up with gasoline burned it and chucked it when I visited the Grand Canyon.
