Pokemon Ghost White
I suppose you came to this page expecting another story of someone receiving a game from some old man for free, right? This is not the case, however, with my story.
It all started on the 10th of March 2011. I was walking down the street with my friend John Carver. It had just rained the night before ,but we came outside because my mom told us to. John was at my house for a sleepover the night previously. When we were walking I saw a game on the street. It was Pokemon White, or so I thought. I expected it to be broken but I took it in anyways just to test it out as I had recently lost my new copy of Pokemon White my mom bought for me.
I walked in the house and grabbed my Nintendo DS, excited to play. John came too. So I put the game in and started my DS up. I was surprised to see that the game worked. Me and John were jumping around the room. I looked at the title screen, however, to see that something looked a little strange. Zekrom, who is on the title screen for the American version of Pokemon White, was not there, but I still pressed the start button, thinking the rain had done this.
When I began playing, there was no option to continue a game. I thought this was weird as well but I started a new game. When professor Juniper appeared, she was bloody, with bones jabbing out of her skin. John ran away horrified at what he had just seen. I kept playing and selected oshawott as my starter pokemon. I went through the game until I reached Accumula town. Then I saved the game and didn't touch it for the rest of the day.
I rushed home excited to continue my game on "Pokemon White". John would not come in my house if I played the game so I told him I would talk to him later. I started up my DS once again ,but when it started up "Pokemon White" the screen was blood red. I was taken aback at this, but still pressed start.
I had only one pokemon in my party. It was oshawott, but I noticed something different. Oshawott would be all bloody after he had fought in a pokemon battle. I thought it was strange that this would be in a Pokemon game. I fought a few more battles with my pokemon and after them, I heard the "cry" of oshawott, which wouldn't stop. I wanted to drop my DS, but I didn't, even if my ears were hurting from the noise.
The cries stopped and a text box popped up with the words "Why did you do this to me, James. Why!" I was shocked it knew my real name, as my name in the game was Slim Shady. Don't ask me why I named my character that, but I did. Then it said "Oshawott has died". My character in the game was different, so I checked my trainer card and my character had slit his wrists!
I woke up in the middle of the night. I had the weirdest dream. Oshawott's cries could be heard in the distance and professor Juniper was dead on the ground. However, when I woke up I felt a tingling on my wrists. They were cut! I ran to my mom and was rushed to the hospital on a rainy night. I was quickly treated and they realized I wasn't insane.
When I got home the next morning and played the game one last time I noticed a textbox. It read "You will pass this curse on to another person or become haunted by the ghost of your pokemon and suffer the consequence of death". I was in tears and was angry. I was only a kid! In anger I took the game and threw it outside on the sidewalk.
