Scooby Doo: The Murderer
Have you ever watched Scooby Doo? I'm pretty sure you have, it's the cartoon with the teenagers who go in a van and try to solve mysteries..Anyways, I've loved that cartoon ever since i was a kid, my sister and my other brother would always watch one of their movies and their episodes.
But we're not talking about all of that, this is what we should be talking about, I remember it fully, when i was a child, i would always be on Cartoon Network, somewhere in 1999, Cartoon Network decided to air a Halloween episode for Scooby Doo..even though it was pretty much always like Halloween, with people dressing up in costumes.
But this was different, there was no random person dressed up in a costume, instead..it was something very disturbing, the episode was called, The Murderer, I was pretty freaked out when I first saw it, but I thought they were just kidding around..obviously they weren't.
The episode started off with the gang in their Mystery Machine, Fred announced that they were going to a mansion, where a murder had happened, they heard rumors of some murderer living in the mansion, Velma and Daphne didn't look that afraid, which had me confused.
Scooby and Shaggy on the other hand, looked completely afraid and even their teeth were chattering. Which I was alright with because Scooby Doo and Shaggy are always scared of spooky things such as ghosts, ghouls or monsters. Fred seemed to recognize Shaggy and Scooby Doo's expression and asked why they were so afraid. Shaggy asked Fred "Why are we going to a mansion that has a mass murderer inside of it?" "Reah! Rexplain it to us Fred!" Scooby chimed in. "Because we need to find out who that mysterious murderer is." Fred said. When they got to the mansion and got out the van, Shaggy looked up at the window to see a dark figure looking out the window, down at them, Shaggy was scared of it but he decided to keep his thoughts to himself.
Fred had told Shaggy and Scooby too split up, and that him, Velma and Daphne would split up also, Scooby and Shaggy tried to talk about it, but Fred, Velma and Daphne were already gone. Shaggy told Scooby that he saw a dark shadow upstairs which freaked out Scooby as Scooby replied with "Ri hope he doesn't kill us Raggy." The two went upstairs in the attic, when they went up there, the door suddenly closed.
They then saw about 5 dead bodies, they didn't look that realistic but it scared me so bad, it almost made me piss my pants, Shaggy then yelled "ZOINKS!" as Scooby hollered "ROH NO!" The dark figure from before then walked up right behind them. I will describe what the figure looked like. It appeared to be and a thin gray skinned man with blood red eyes, stringy blonde hair and a scruffy beard. He wore a gold monocle along with a purple coat and pants and also wore dark brown shoes. Underneath the coat, he wore a orange and black checkered shirt and in his right hand he held a knife which was soaked in blood. Shaggy and Scooby Doo turned around to see the murderer. When they saw him, they were immediately freaked out to the point that they almost passed out. "Who on earth are you?" Shaggy asked nervously. "Reah, tell us who you are." Scooby Doo proclaimed. The murderer spoke to Scooby Doo and Shaggy in a raspy creaky voice "I am Algernon Slashington and it looks like it's time for both of you to meet your ultimate demise, you scaredy cats!" He then stabbed Shaggy in the chest with his knife causing him to scream. The scream that Shaggy let out didn't sound cartoonish at all. This scream sounded extremely realistic like the voice actor was in severe pain. Blood then started dripping from were he got stabbed.
The camera then showed a close up of Shaggy's face. Every inch of pain was visible on his face. He was bleeding to death and suddenly, he died in front of Scooby. Scooby Doo was absolutely traumatized by Shaggy's death and tried to run away from the murderer but he grabbed Scooby's tail and threw him to the wall, causing Scooby to get a black eye in the process.
He then started beating him to death, kicking him, punching him, and even stabbing him a few times, Scooby eventually died, he then hided the two bodies in body bags, he then went downstairs. Where the murderer could kill the other three.
Fred had to use the bathroom, he told the two girls, he went to use the bathroom, Velma and Daphne went to the basement, where it was dark in there, Daphne turned the light on where she and Velma saw tons of dead bodies. Velma then shouted "JINKIES!" while Daphne screamed "JEEPERS!" Fred heard them and ran down there as quickly as he could, when he saw the dead bodies his eyes grew large as saucers.
The bodies were stabbed, some of then had bullet holes, there heads were bashed, there arms were ripped off, everything..Velma went to the basement to investigate the bodies. Daphne and Fred then heard footsteps behind them, Velma then got out of the basement to see where the footsteps where coming from. Velma got out of the basement and looked up to see the murderer. "Who exactly are you?" Velma asked. He then grabbed a pistol from his pocket and shot Velma in the head, killing her instantly. Fred had a very frightened looked on his face once he saw Velma's death.
He turned around to see the murderer. He then kicked Fred in the leg and punched him in the face. He brought out his knife and slit Fred's neck, as he died. Daphne then saw the murderer, along with Velma and Fred's dead bodies.
"W..Why would you do such things?" asked Daphne, the murderer didn't answer and shot Daphne about 10 times in the stomach, she was still somehow alive, the murderer then went up to her and got out a shovel, the murderer beat her to death with that shovel. Daphne eventually died.
After the murderer was done beating her to death, the murderer went out of the house and got out a lighter and burned the mansion, as everyone's body's were being..incinerated.
The screen then went black saying, "THE END".
I was scared, and frightened, and disturbed.
I quickly changed the channel to Nickelodeon, where they were airing the new show, Spongebob Squarepants, which calmed me down...
I still watched Scooby Doo..i just try to forget that i ever saw that episode..
