Shadow King Creepypasta

It all started when I bought that game. I wish I never bought it, so none of this ever happened. Anyways, it all started when I was bored one day and wanted something new to do.

I decided to go pick up a video game, and try to amuse myself with it. I was on my way to Gamestop, when I saw an old lady peddling games on the side of the road.

On the sign next to her, it said: "The Best Games You'll Ever Play! They're Free, Too!"

But I wish I never saw that sign, or that devilish old lady. For it was because of her that my life is now ruined. On the table, I saw a copy of "Okage: Shadow King" and, remembering all the memories that game made when I was younger, I bought it.

That's something that in a couple of days, I would regret. I brought it home, and popped it into my PlayStation 2. The first thing I noticed was that the bagpipe music that would normally play when the game started up wasn't there, but it was repkaced with a soft whisper.

It sounded as if someone were trying to sneak away from something. But, a minute later, there was a big CLANG! As if someone slammed an axe into a stone floor. I pressed start, and the game went straight to the beginning.

The Chapter One title was altered a bit, and it said "The Boy Meets his Fate" instead of "The Boy Meets the King".

This frightened me a little bit, but that was just the beginning of the horror that I would endure as I played this cursed game.

It skipped the first cutscene, and went straight to the gameplay. There was no color, and Ari had his head down as he walked through the living room, out to the village to get the bread in the Bakery in the village of Tenel.

I walked out the door, and was met with a deafening screech. The usual, fun, music wasn't playing. Instead, there was a terrible clattering sound replacing it. I walked over to the gate, but it wouldn't open. I tried it again, and to my surprise, the game froze!

My television turned itself off, and turned on again. When it got back, the gate was open. Everything around Ari was on fire, and Ari had tiny little horns growing of the sides of his head. As I turned the camera around, I saw that he had no eyes, and had a devilish smirk on his face, with blood stained, sharp, teeth. I went on my way to Tenel village, when a loud screeching sound interrupted the game.

This scared me a bit, because I wasn't expecting it. It went back to the regular gameplay once the screech ended. As I entered Tenel village, I heard osme whispering in the background.

"Why are you doing this to me? What did I ever do to you? NOOOOO! STOP IT PLEASE STOP!!"

There was the sound of a chainsaw in the background, and the sound of a chainsaw chopping meat. I almost threw when I heard those sounds.

I went inside the Bakery, and the woman who is usually standing at the front desk was still there, but when I went up to talk to her, she didn't turn around and give me the lecture about being "Over Shadowed", all she was just stand there, almost as if she were lifeless.

The bread just suddenly appeared on the table, and I took it. The normal "Ari Aquired" screen didn't come up, and I simply just walked out of the Bakery, and Annie was outside the door of the Bakery, but she didn't even tease me about Julia.

All she did was just walk through back to the house. The regular text where the narrator talks never came up, but it simply just zoomed ahead to the part where Annie is lying in bed with the Pig Latin curse, but instead of the Pig Latin curse, they say she has a flesh eating disease.

The dad still says the thing over the pot, and Stan comes out still, but they don't have the shadow contest. It just goes straight to the adventure. Ari is thrown out into the village of Madril, but the first thing I noticed was that the the bridge where you meet Rosalina and she fights off those two ghosts is no longer there, but the water is still there. Once again, the game makes a loud screeching sound, and it freezes.

This time, it goes blurry, and flashes different colors. The game went back to normal, and the bridge was there. Rosalina ran through me, but she didn't say anything. She just... ran. As if something was chasing her. I noticed bloodstains on her parasol and dress, too.

But anyways, she ran past, and the game went to black. I heard more whispering, and then a scream. I heard the sound of bones breaking, and some voice talking to me. It said "Why are you still playing? Are you not in your right mind? Stop playing this instant!" This scared me a bit, but I did not shut the game down. I was determined to beat this game.

When the game went back, it faded in to a picture of Rosalina, but she had no eyes, and blood was flowing from her eyes. I heard voices saying "Why didn't you save her" and stuff like that. The picture cut out, and then Stan popped out from behind me. His text was just a garbled mix of whatever he was trying to say, and soon after, it went back to my regular shadow.

As I played on, I noticed that the game's screen was turning to green text and numbers and stuff like that. Soon after, it had taken up the whole screen. Maggots came up on the screen, but they were all the away in the background, there was the sound of screaming and whispering, and finally, my PS2 started smoking, and caught on fire. Quickly, I got my dad's hammer, and broke the PS2. I took the game out, and imprinted on the back, I saw "WATCH YOUR BACK."
