SkyHaven

I want to start this off by saying... I do not own the game in question. This was an occurence that happened to me while my friend was over. I played, on the rare occurence, of him sleeping.

The Moment I saw him fall in to a doze, I remembered he brought two games I like... Halo 2, and Skyrim. I've played it before, actually, the last time he came over. We had two Xbox's set up in the room, so I used my own. I started... but the main menu was dead silent. No music, just the normal loading menu with a random object... this object, being a Forsworn bow.

So the menu fully loaded, still no sound, And the only options, the rest grayed out, "Continue" and "New game." I hit continue. My character, "Lump, Level 19 Argonian." Yeah, I know, low level, but remember I've only played while my friend was over, so I don't exactly have much play time. It loads, and I'm right in front of SkyHaven Temple. I have to do that mission where I get in by solving the puzzle... so as I do, My quest companions wait for me.

It was odd... the temple seemed so bare compared to when I saved. Before, the gate had clinging vines, moss, shadows, but now everything was blank, the textures sort of a dull grey kind of color. I approached the pillars to solve the puzzle, and noted something. The pictures had changed. A skull, a heart, and the 'Dark Brotherhood' hand. The pillars with the animals didn't change though.

How the hell was I supposed to solve this problem? I didn't even have a clue, so I started guessing. As I did, my companions said the normal lines when they become impatient with me. Then one began speaking the Dovah Language. The old man. I don't really remember names, I just know I got him from the Riften Ratways, and He's important to the Blades.

So, marking that off as a sound glitch, himself sounding like the greybeards, I just worked more. Then the female began doing it. That's when It got a little spinetingling. I turned to see something that made me want to shut off the game... They were gone. Both of them... just vanished, but their voices rung through the air. I have surround sound, so it began to boom out the speakers, so I muted the volume.

That worked. So I simply hurriedly began to solve the puzzle. Then, I heard a sliding noise... Hand heart Hand. It was odd... as the floor shifted, I heard an odd sort of organic tear... like if you took meat, and stretched it, the sound it would make. The bridge lowered... and across, sat my companions. At first glance, unchanged, but as I neared them I noticed they could barely walk, hobbling... their eyes bloodshot.

I talked to one. She just repeated the same line no matter what I said. "A nords last thoughts should be of home." I read this text, and shivered a bit, before passing them and running to the temple... as I reached the door, from the other side I heard a sort of screeeching noise... and I heard a noise... shunk, shunk, shunk... It sounded like metal hitting rock. Then screams.

I turned to see my teammates gone, and I neared closer to the door, pulling my weapon and spell out, before I opened it...

Then I took an arrow to the knee, and was cursed to forever walk the Dinosaur!
