Sonic 2 Creepypasta

I remember back from my childhood when I used to play Sonic the hedgehog 2 for the genesis. I always had fun with it back in the day and was really wanting to own it because of all the fun I would have with it. The problem was that my original genesis was sold because my older sister really needed money at the time.

Most people go to eBay for this sort of thing but I use amazon so of course I bought a copy and an old genesis because of my childhood nostalgia. The game and system arrived but the Sonic 2 cartridge label was replaced with sonic and tails corpses laying on the ground with Dr. Robotnik standing on them while laughing demonically.

I thought this was a real cruel joke but then on the back of the cartridge it didn't have the Sega logo but just the words "Help us!" written in a blood splatter in a dark shade of red. Even though this was sick to my stomach I put the cartridge in the new genesis anyway out of curiosity.

As I began to play the game everything was normal until the Sega logo made a loud screeching noise instead of the usual Sega chant. When the title screen appeared The island behind the title was in flames and sonic and tails crying and were saying Save us in bold text.

I was in total shock but I pressed on now terrified. The first act's title was normal but when the level began there was animal corpses all around the ground and guts hanging from the tree and sonic was terrified and crying. I began to press on but the farther I got into the level the more the music was slowing down to a demonic pace.

When I finally reached the end of the level there was no goalpost but there was only Robotnik standing in place of the goalpost like a statue with his eyes closed. I tried jumping on Robotnik but when I finally touched him he turned around and grabbed sonic by the throat and then the screen turned black and all I could hear was the sound of Sonic's spine cracking.

After that the game froze with Sonic's corpse laying on the ground while tails is being hung by a rope. The screen then turned fuzzy for ten seconds and as I lay there terrified Robotnik stares at me with blood red text saying:

"I am Satan" with red pupils. I was so shocked that I grabbed the cartridge out of the genesis and put it where It would be far away from me as possible.

I tried going to sleep but I couldn't stop thinking about the cartridge so I had another go with the cartridge. When I started it up this time though there was no title screen and it threw me into a random act called LLEH OT EMOCLEW. It took me awhile but it said WELCOME TO HELL backwards!

When I started the act Fire was surrounding Sonic and in a voice clear as day someone said you shall perish! and Robotnik came out of nowhere in his death egg mech covered in blood with red pupils. I tried attacking but Sonic couldn't move and was stuck to the floor.

When Robotnik went to sonic the screen went black for awhile and then red letters on the screen popped up and said:

"Want to play with me again?"

I was terrified so I threw the cartridge out of the system and took the cartridge outside and smashed it with a sledge hammer. I was relieved that the nightmare had stopped and the haunted cartridge was gone. But even though it is gone it still haunts me to this day for the experience it gave me. Never make the same mistake I did and stay away from bootleg games.
