Spongebob: Wormy-Ymrow
I was a fan of Spongebob Squarepants ever since I was 2 years old, One of my feared episodes as a little kid was "Wormy" from Season 2; the episode was alright for the most part but the horsefly and the butterfly scared me so badly, I had a huge fear of monarchs and horseflies..I'm not kidding. One day, I was at a Goodwill and looked at the VHS tapes when I found one named "Spongebuddies" I investigated the tape itself before I purchased it; It was spongebob and patrick being chased by the bubble butterfly with the normal spongebob logo and the subtitle. No, Patrick and spongebob didn't have weird empty eyes and explode in blood, it was just the normal VHS cover. I looked at the back and noticed something off. At the episodes, the episode "Wormy" had a different picture. It was the horsefly closeup but it was deep shade of red and the background was a swampy blurry green. The price was 30$ and I purchased it (my wallet was crying by that point, but thank god I didn't bought a 100$ cookbook..thank fucking god..)
When I got home, I unwrapped the plastic bag and took off the slip cover off the tape, I inserted the tape inside and pressed rewind. When it finished, I pressed play and watched it. The episode was like normal, but there was no sound or audio. As I got through watching, I notice patrick's face was a little messy from the artists; Suddenly, when the horsefly closeup came on, it stuck on there for 3 straight minuets with deffening loud buzzing while I heard Spongebob In the background screaming so loud, the speakers literally cut off and died. The next scene was a jumpcut into the burning building where after the bus went into the town; after sandy got out of the bus though, no one came in and instead, the butterfly flew into Sandy's face. Loud Buzzing ensues and then suddenly, the episode ended without anything else (thank fucking god..) After the tape finished, It stopped and the tape started to crumble into dust which was surprising.
The next day, I recieved a call from my boss at a locial Burger King who said that my information was hacked by a random number. I hang up and called the phone number displayed on my laptop, when suddenly, I heard the same buzzing from the episode and a whisper from spongebob who said "YOU SHOULD'VE NOT TOUCHED THE TAPE!" I dropped the phone and noticed a horsefly squeeze out of the phone and fly out of the window, I closed the window in a frantic mess and lock everything, I lock the doors, windows, laptop, sink, even locking up everything else exept for the living room. I contacted Mr. Lawrence, Tom Kenny I tried everyone but no one answered! "What The Fuck!" I screamed. I tried to email Stephen Hillenberg who simply wrote "That was a prototype and not...the actuall episode"
