Spongebob Squarepants Cut Game
So, you know Spongebob right? Who doesn't, everybody knows that iconic sponge from 1999! Anyways, yes, there is games for it, if you can't tell. But, out of the millions of games and more to be made out there, I got sent a...special one. It was never released to the world. Not even in USA or Japan! How did I get my hands on it, you ask? Well, it went like this. I was scrolling on the Spongebob fandom and then I stumbled across something among the lines of a cancelled game.
I saw a link and clicked it, as it led me to a Google Drive. It was something for PC, so I went to download it. 10 minutes of waiting later...I got it. I then opened the game, not knowing what horrors awaited me.
The Game
It started with a blue background for 4 seconds before the logo for Spongebob Squarepants came crashing down, along with the Nickelodeon logo. Then, a copyright notice was shown below. The notice read, '© Nickelodeon 1994. It was strange because Spongebob didn't exist until 1999. Anyways, I pressed play and the game just went black for 12 seconds.
Then, it cut to Spongebob in what looks like Sandy's treedome. I made him walk left until Spongebob found what looked like a corrupted acorn. Then, it faded to red for 31 seconds before a cutscene played. After that 31 seconds, Sandy appeared. "That acorn?" Sandy asked. "Yeah. Why is it so...strange?" Spongebob asked. "Well, it came from 1921, which was a super long time ago." Sandy said, going to eat it.
After Sandy ate it, she exploded. Blood splattered everywhere, as Spongebob had a shocked face. "S...Sandy?" Spongebob asked, before it cut to the game. Spongebob now had a worried face, as tried to lead him out. Then, the objective appeared on the top right corner. It was, 'Make sure your friends don't eat any corrupted things.' in an orange color. I then led Spongebob to the Krusty Krab, where it showed Squidward and Mr. Krabs staring at that mutilated krabby patty.
Then, it cut to a cutscene. "Guys! Don't eat that!" Spongebob exclaimed. "Why shouldn't we?" Squidward scoffed, before Spongebob pulled out a recording of Sandy exploding. "If you eat that, you will be her, dead. EXPLODED!!" Spongebob yelled. Squidward ran up to the krabby patty and ate it. Apparently, Mr. Krabs exploded along with Squidward, as it cut to the game. The Krusty Krab was filled with blood, as I made Spongebob run out the Krusty Krab and into his house, where he saw a corrupted snail toy, as it cut to a cutscene.
"Gary! Don't eat that!" Spongebob exclaimed, as Gary looked at him in confusion. "Buddy, that thing there? Yeah, it's gonna make you explode." Spongebob said. Gary meowed. "Don't you talk back at me, Gary! Look, I lost Sandy, Mr. Krabs and Squidward to those corrupted things...I can't lose you!!" Spongebob exclaimed. Gary meowed and went to chomp on the toy, making him explode with blood. "GARY!!!!" Spongebob yelled, as it cut to the game.
Spongebob had a really scared and sad face, as I made Spongebob go to Patrick's house, as it cut to yet another cutscene. "Hey, Spongebob! What's with that face like you seen the future?" Patrick asked. "Patrick...I can't anymore...there's these...weird mutilated things in people's houses and whenever it goes into someone's mouth, THEY EXPLODE!!!" Spongebob exclaimed. "Oh, Spongebob, buddy ol' pal. You should lay off the strange red and blue stuff, whatever they are." Patrick said. "Pills, Patrick." Spongebob said. "Oh okay." Patrick said, holding a corrupted donut.
"PATRICK WAIT!!!" Spongebob yelled. "What what what what what is it?" Patrick said. "That thing you're holding is the corrupted things I was talking about!" Spongebob exclaimed. "...It's just a donut." Patrick replied, going to put it in his mouth. Spongebob tried to grab the donut, but Patrick ate it, but he also bit Spongebob's finger, as he exploded along with Spongebob's finger, as blood splattered everywhere.
"Barnacles! What do I- MY FINGER!!!!!!" Spongebob exclaimed, as it cut to the game. Spongebob's finger wasn't present. (His left middle finger.) And his face looked more scared, as he left to the Chum Bucket, as it cut to yet ANOTHER cutscene. "Plankton!! PLANKTON!!!" Spongebob yelled. "What now, barnacle doofus?" Plankton said in annoyance. "Well, there's these things that make people explode and they look all...strange and corrupted!! Do you know what those are?!" Spongebob exclaimed, thinking that Plankton is behind all of this.
"Actually, let me tell you something." Plankton said, getting up and grabbing a knife from his drawer. "Plankton? What are you doing?" Spongebob asked. "I have to do this, Spongy boy." Plankton said, as he turned off the lights and locked the doors and closed the windows. "You see, no one lives to tell this tale, so let me tell you something...I made those!" Plankton confessed. "WHAT?! You are responsible for-" Spongebob said, before Plankton shushed him. "Now, now. Don't be so loud about it." Plankton said, bringing the knife closer to him.
After 12 seconds of the knife being brunt closer and closer to him, Spongebob was stabbed, as blood splattered everywhere for 56 seconds. After said 56 seconds passed, it showed Karen and Spongebob's corpses behind a metal wall that certainly didn't look like it came from Spongebob. Not only that, but the victims remaining's could be seen with them. After a minute of that image being shown, it cut to a copyright notice that read, '© Nickelodeon 1994' for 12 seconds before it officially ended, as it closed by itself.
After The Game
"What. Was. THAT?!" I exclaimed. I went to delete it, but it was already gone. I then reported the post that led me to that so called game. Turns out, it was reported 21 times! After 2 hours, the link was changed to be 'Never Gonna Give You Up'. A bunch of comments about it was changed to be something about the rickroll, which led to fans wondering what the original was. It then became a secret rule in the fandom to never speak of that again or you get a warn. Bring it up? They'll ignore it. But if you mention a part in the game...warn! Why? It was very and I mean VERY controversial.
It was meant for a test game on the PC that was only accessed by one special person, the guy who sent me the link on the fandom. That could explain the 1994 thing, even thought the first episode, Help Wanted, premiered in July 1999. Other than that, nobody brings it up anymore...except me, who's typing this to you.
