Squidward.exe
I used to be a fan of fangames, especially scary ones there were some really needlessly creepy ones like the Luna Game with that satanic-looking Zalgo Pinkie and just plain strange Applebloom. However I spotted one that was not like any of the others, when I was looking on YouTube, there was a person with a username of 'Squidward.exe'. I clicked on it and it took me to his channel, there wasn't anything on it, except in his channel title there was a link, I will not reveal it simply because I can't remember it. When I copied and pasted the link into the Google Chrome Search Bar, it started a download of a file called 'Squidward.exe'.
When the file fully downloaded which had taken 2 minutes, it had taken me straight to the game, the first level taken place in the Krusty Krab, you were playing as Squidward, the first level was from a top down perspective, I played and explored for about 3 minutes until I began to hear some slight murmuring in the background, the murmuring wasn't loud and clear enough to recognise. Then the game cut to black for about 5 seconds, then a loud screeching sound as well as the 'Squidwards Suicide' image flashed up for a split second before cutting back to the game. It then said Level 2: Run while you have the chance.
The second level was a side scroller, this time, Squidward was with Spongebob in Squidwards House, they both had an expression of pure terror on their faces, I walked about in Squidwards bedroom when suddenly the Squidward with the bleeding eyes in sprite form appeared and started to run after Squidward and Spongebob, the evil Squidward pulled out a shotgun and splattered Spongebob apart with an expression of sadism as Spongebob was blown to pieces, blood flown everywhere as I watched in disgust. The normal Squidward didn't even respond to the keyboard commands anymore, he was crouched down, sobbing to himself in an infinite sense of horror and dread, then the evil Squidward rushed towards the normal Squidward and snapped his neck, I was immensly creeped out at this point, but I had the thought that whoever made this may have been inspired by Sonic.exe, then a picture flashed up, it was the one of Red Mist Squidward, with a text stating 'You can't run'.
The final level didn't have a name at all - it was, again, a side-scroller, but this time there were RPG elements to it, this time, Squidward, Sandy and Patrick were near a campfire when the evil Squidward began to fade into existence. Then a Pokemon style battle began. The first to fight the evil Squidward was Patrick, I chose for him to guard, but Squidward just said 'I am Satan's Avatar on Earth' and Patrick died, then Sandy was up to fight him. Sandy karate-chopped the evil Squidward on his head, but the evil Squidward was dealt minimal, if any, damage, Squidward then just ripped off Sandy's glass helmet that supplied her air, and the next 5 minutes were grueling, I watched as Sandy drowned and choked, she did eventually began to choke up blood just before she drowned. Then the normal Squidward was up, but he had an expression of rage, not terror. Both Squidwards pulled out a shotgun, I then got the normal Squidward to keep shooting, but that did only little damage - then the evil Squidward finally shot the normal Squidward, blood and organs flew everywhere during those last mentally scarring seconds of normal gameplay.
It then cut to a picture, it was a picture of Squidward with the bleeding eyes and Japanese text, I could not identify it. I never played another fangame ever since that incident.
