The Arthur City Movie Bootleg Tape
When I was a kid, the 2 things I loved were Arthur City and movies. Arthur City is a TV show on Nickelodeon about a guy named Arthur Guy and his friends going on adventures in a city named 123 Arthur City, while movies are longer than shows, with running times of about a hour.
As you would know, animated movies are my favourite type of movies. One of the movies that I liked was a movie named The Arthur City Movie. Man, did that film cause so much buzz!
The film involves around Arthur Guy's new enemy, Peppa Pig having a plan to ruin Arthur Guy's birthday party and kidnapping his girlfriend Sue Ellen and Arthur Guy and his friends must stop him. It was really good, from the animation to the voice acting. When I got the DVD of it as a present for my birthday, I watched it day and night, as much as I could. Unfortunately, I had traded the movie for The Simpsons Movie a few years ago, much to my regret when I found out what that game was like.
You see, my town has a lot of yard sales and one of my friends was having a yard sale, so I decided to go there and check out what he had in store for me. When I arrived at the yard sale, I found a lot of old furniture, toys and movies. I spent some time looking at the movies section when I found a VHS copy of The Arthur City Movie. I asked my friend how much it was and I got into a conversation with him about this:
My friend: Do you really want that VHS tape?
Me: Yes, why not?
My friend: Because its a bootleg tape and it contains some gruesome stuff on it.
Me: You have got to be kidding me!
My friend: No, I'm not. Anyways, do you want that tape? It's £1.00!
Me: Yes.
My friend: Okay, but please be careful of the stuff that's on it.
Me: Okay.
After the conversation with my friend ended, I went home, put the tape into my VCR and began watching. The tape began with the Paramount Pictures logo, however, it didn't seem right. The sky was replaced with a shot of SpongeBob's creepy face from Suicide Squidward clips 3 and 4 and the audio was low-pitched and distorted. Then, SpongeBob's creepy face turned distorted, except for the logo. The Nickelodeon Movies logo was no better, as it was red-tinted and had the same face replacing the background.
The intro of the film began normally, you know, where Arthur Guy and his family are setting up his birthday party, right? Well, when Arthur Guy's dad, David unboxes one of Arthur Guy's presents, a monster with tentacles all over it comes out and suffocates David in the mouth with its tentacles, with blood coming out of his mouth. I was shocked, but I continued watching, not wishing for the worst to come.
It then cut to static for a few seconds. While the static was playing, I saw a hidden video of Buster Guy begging for Arthur Guy to not kill him, but Arthur Guy chopped his head off with a knife. I was a bit scared, but I continued watching again. It then showed Arthur Guy and his friends walking up to a snowy mountain. When they went to a cave on the mountain to see Tabitha, she was in the cave dead with her stomach ripped open and her eyes gouged out. Arthur Guy screamed and Buster Guy puked on the ground.
It then showed the final battle with Arthur Guy and his friends and Peppa Pig. However, after a few seconds through the battle, Peppa got George Pig to kill Arthur Guy and George began to strangle Arthur Guy, while Arthur Guy screamed and begged for George to stop, but it was no use. George threw Arthur Guy's dead body to the street where he was crushed by a car. Arthur Guy's friends were shocked, but then Peppa threw dynamite at them and then they exploded. Blood, guts, body parts and things like such got onto the entire screen.
Then, it cut to static for 5 minutes. I thought that the tape had ended, but just as I was about to eject it, a blurry image of a bloody Arthur Guy with red glowing glasses appeared, with text in Russian saying "God and the angels are now dead. Satan and the devils have risen. All hail Satan.". I was scared, so I took the tape out of the VCR and smashed it into pieces with my hammer. I then threw the pieces in the bin.
To this day, I will never and I mean NEVER in my life get another bootleg tape like this of a movie. If you see one, stay away from it. That's all you have to do.
