The Computer Curse

It was a beautiful day out in Springfield! However, something didn't feel right. Some odd sense came to my head... I could not imagine what it could possibly be... Well, perhaps it's nothing...

Later that night however, I heard things from the computer room... My son was just playing his computer game, but something didn't seem quite the same. My son was interacting with the computer, talking to it, as if it was a person. I walked in and asked my son if something was wrong, he took off his headphones and told me to go away. Said he was "busy", which lead me to suspicion. I could hear voices in the background, talking to my son as if they actually understood him. I felt a cold shiver down my spine, computers can't talk like people... They're just computers... I went back to bed, but was concerned for the well-being of my son. The next day I asked him if everything was alright, he said "Fuck off Dad, you dumbfuck!" He seemed to be acting normal, so I let him off.

Later that night, when everyone was asleep, I crept downstairs to use the computer. As I sat down, I put on my son's headphones and rotated the mouse. Almost immediately, as if a bullet, a video game flashed on. I was surrounded by demonic figures! Each of them talking to me, insulting me, saying they would come and kill me... All of a sudden, a flag shot up and a hellish music started playing. My heartbeat must have been pumping at least 10 times as fast. Then, one of the demons took my very life... I couldn't stand to bear it any longer, but I forced myself to keep on playing. I could see myself in the screen, dead, just a floating spirit.

I quickly ripped out the power cord, shutting off the computer. My heart was racing, but I am now cursed. Cursed to forever have the memory in my mind, of that dreaded game... I'm here writing this to issue out a warning to everyone, never play World of Warcraft.
