The Darkness of the Black Gate

Things have been pretty fucked up, and I think this is the only place I can get the kind of advice and help I need.

It all started when I moved into a new apartment. I saw new, but it wasn't, really. It was in an old part of town, and the building was kind of run down. But it was cheap and fairly close to the bookstore where I work.

The first thing I noticed when I was moving in was a piece of paper on the kitchen counter. It was pretty old, and looked like it had been written on a typewriter. The top of the page said "Apartment Rules".

It was pretty basic stuff about noise levels, where to put the garbage and recycling, and the times when the laundry room can be used. I noticed there was a small addendum to the laundry room rule however, written in pen. Leaning closer to make out the crabbed handwriting, I was able to read it. It said: "Do NOT use during 10pm to 6am"

For a moment I was a little perplexed, then realised it was just a reinforcement of the noise rules.

I finished unpacking my stuff and moving things around, then decided to have a break and play my video game console. I switched it on and started playing a game. Normally I'm pretty good at games, but this one is new and really hard. It's called Darkest Souls: Into The Black Gate.

I'm stuck on the boss called 'Darkness Nun'. I'm having trouble in the second sub-phase when she splits apart and transforms into the 'Night Twins'. I know they're vulnerable to acid bombs and I'm using the Blood-Caked Broadsword that does extra Pain damage every third swing, but their Gushing Dark attack keeps taking me out even though I have the Ancient Shield for Dark resistance and the Monk's Waistguard for stamina regeneration. I've tried with both the Gauntlets of Souls for the health regeneration, and the Armbands of Anguish for the extra Hysteria damage, but I just can't defeat this fucking boss. Anyone have some tips?
