The Dead Comes Alive

I woke up from a vivid nightmare. I was scared stiff and got straight up, got dressed, brushed my teeth and ate breakfast. My name is John Michaels, and this is the worst story ever told. I have the most boring job ever, the most meanest boss ever, the most nerdiest assistant ever and the most longest hours ever. I spent work-time from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm.

By that time all the lights in the tiny houses were out, and the street lights were flickering because of the electrical glitch that the technicians shunned. I stumbled in my house to find the hallway dark and cobwebbed. Usually the light was turned on and the smell of bacon drifted from the kitchen, but today it was bad.

I was suspicious, and grabbed a torch from the drawers on the side. Once I flicked it on it turned off immediately, ending with the glass on the head shattering and leaving no trace of shards. I was terrified, and slowly crept into the living room. The TV was on, the news channel was on too, the man on the news channel said:

"Today our Police Department has found out that 23 deaths have occurred. Houses are unprotected and the killer, or killers are unknown. Bob Hemedy, Chief of the Police, said that the cops will be patrolling streets and..."

...red liquid splattered the room and the TV flickered, revealing the green screen in the broadcasting room, the anchorman's body was lying dead in the chair.

The TV flickered again and the face of the man was on the screen, it had gleaming red eyes, and blood splattered across its face.

"THATZ ALL FUR NOW!"

The TV screen shattered into billions of pieces. And, same as the torch, the shards left no evidence. I heard a creek in the house, and it wasn't a normal creek, it gave me shivers.

CREEK! It went again, I carefully limped to the door and opened it. My kitchen TV was on, a movie was playing.

"Oh Tom! Please marry me!"

"Of course! Juliet!"

"Oh! Thank you! When will our wedding..."

She died, she simply fell right on the floor, and the camera zoomed in on her face. Her eyes gleamed red and blood was splattered all over. The TV cracked and left no evidence of shards.

I heard another creek, now from upstairs. So I left the kitchen and went back in the hallway, bloody footprints led upstairs, leading into my bedroom.

The TV was on...I was on it,

"Please! Are you watching this?!" I said on the TV,

Suddenly I toppled over...on the TV and in real life, and my eyes gleamed red, I was splattered in blood. All I saw was redness, then it faded, and faded. I saw your face, yes you! The reader's face! I grabbed my hand out, it was drenched in blood, I clasped it around your neck, squeezed your neck...

The next day the news was on,

"And then YOU got killed"
