The Factory of Depression

In Detroit, Michigan, in one of the oldest parts of town, you can find an old rundown abandoned doll factory. It will be very hard to find considering there are countless numbers of abandoned factories in the town as well. The clues to finding it will prove very helpful. The building is completely black to the point where light could never reflect off of the bricks. It is the smallest of the factories. The windows are extremely old, held up by rotten wood, and dirty foul glass. The door is also rotted and is located among the left side in a small alley. It is easy to simply push it open. Pieces of wood will fall off at the slightest touch.

You will need the brightest light to be able to even see a miniscule two feet in front of you. It is a huge mess inside so careful steps will be needed. There is only one direction you can go so follow it until the light illuminates a little easier. At this point you are in the main manufacturing room. One of two only locations of the factory. Strangely, you will not be able to see outside the windows regardless of any light source outside. Pure pitch black attains it's greatest form inside. Looking up, you can see a couple of mixing tanks with broken catwalks from above. If you're brave enough and explore much deeper, you can find the broken levers along with cracked switches. Power has been cut off from this place since God knows when. The funny smell inside is still lingering and quite displeasing.

This factory was used in the very early 1900s to produce lifelike dolls for children. They were very realistic for their time and shipped to stores only within 3 miles. They were boxed very well. Although they weren't widely heard of considering the small shipping radius, the children adored them. However, there was always something that didn't seem right about it. It could have been the fact that the factory was built on a cheap budget by inexperienced architects. Not to mention in a place that rendered it hard to find.

The most unsettling feeling the place brings upon you is that if you stand still and listen closely, you can hear the sounds of young children weeping and wailing.
