The Feet Grabbers

It was just a normal day like any other, my Mom and I had a movie date, a little mother - daughter thing. We were at the super market getting some snacks for the movie.

After we were done, we decided to head home.

The movie we chose, was "It", a newer film on the market. Anyway, we curled up on the couch, got our snacks ready and began to watch.

About half way in I had that little urge to pull my feet up, you know that little feeling you get when something is about grab your feet so I alerted my mother "Mom, pull your feet up quick, or the Feet Grabbers will grab them."

I said that as a joke of course, my Mom said there is no such thing as Feet Grabbers and continued to dangle her feet over the couch.

About another hour passed and the movie was over I had fallen asleep, but I awoken to a scratching noise underneath me. I looked over at my Mom to see a blank pale face, this jolted me with fear and I said "Mom are you okay?"

She didn't answer me, I heard the same scratching sound once again, but it was towards the end of the couch. I looked at my Mom's feet, waited for my eyes to adjust and seen long, dark, fingers slowly curling around my mother's feet. Then suddenly, she was yanked off the couch, and was dragged under the couch. I let out a blood curdling screech, and that is all I remember.

I woke up in a hospital bed, my father and my grand parents surrounded me. I asked where Mom was, my father said they are still looking for her, after a few hours of checking out of the hospital, we went back to the house and everything was moved around from the police but the couch was not.

I tried to explain but no one believed me, everyone took it as she was just out running errands, she has only been reported missing for a few hours. I got curious and decided to move the couch, the only thing that was there, were claw markings engraved into the floor boards that said, "You're Next".
