The Kitten

I was at the pet shelter with my girlfriend who always had a soft spot for everything animal-related. We stepped inside and saw a litter of three black kittens.

One of them reminded me of my old cat, Alice, who had died four years ago. Filled with nostalgia, I whipped out my cellphone and managed to get a picture of the kitten.

When I looked through the pictures on my cellphone an hour later, I noticed that the black kitten I had photographed turned out white in the picture.

I have since deleted the photo, and to this day I could have sworn that the kitten I had seen that day was black.
