The Lesson
People are disgusting. Say what you will, you know it is true. People kill and hurt each other every day. And no one cries for them. Most times people react the same way to knowledge of death as they do to the weather channel. In fact, unless it's a cute little white girl or someone you can relate to, you most likely feel nothing (except maybe disappointment in people in general) when you hear about a killing. I will change this. I will make you care. And I will save the world.
I will have to make a list. It will not be easy to choose the sins and who must die. I must make examples without being judgmental. For all have sinned and fallen short. Indeed even I will become hated in order to save.
The child abuser will be killed. Before he dies I will teach him how an adult must act. How children must be treated so that they will grow into wise beings. When he is reborn he will have learned his lesson and will do great things and become a leader of men. He will truly be a new man.
The rapist will be killed. Before he dies I will show him love. So that he knows that there are those that care. He will learn this lesson in this life so that his next may become filled with love. He will be a good family man and his community will never know of his previous dispositions.
The adulterer will be killed. Before he dies I will show him how his wife cries for him. He will learn the true impact of his actions on his family. When he comes back he will be a devoted lover. He will never look at another woman with lust in his eyes for he knows how his wife loves him.
The liar will be killed. Before he dies I will show him the truth. I will teach him that only the truth is acceptable. For indeed, lies can only hurt the ones you love. And hurting a fellow being is punishable. In his new life he will finally understand how the truth can save a relationship and keep love alive.
The apathetic will be killed. But do not fear. Before he dies I will teach him to feel. He will understand that with just a little love he can save them next time. I'm sure he's been watching the news lately don't you think? He's seen all these people killed and shed no tears. He could have saved them if he had taught them a lesson. But you are too lazy to be bothered by those you don't care about.
You could have saved them. But before the end of the night you will understand this. But fear not. You will be born again.
But seeing as I am a teacher of lessons. Make note of this.
