The Pink Panther Lost Cartoon
Most people remember a pink-colored cartoon called The Pink Panther. The Pink Panther was a cartoon that had a pink-colored feline and it showed his adventures.
The original series ran from 1964 to 1981. There were apparently one unreleased cartoon that was released in 1969.
I was surfing the web, and came across a website that had an index. It has many cartoons like Looney Tunes, Tom and Jerry, Scooby-Doo and many more. So I was curious enough to check out this website. The links were ordered as "Cartoon -" and then followed by a uppercase word or short phrase with a number. For example, Cartoon - BUGS 26, Cartoon - TOM 100, and Cartoon - POPEYE 139.
However, after seeing some entries, I found something that caught my eye.
Cartoon - PINK 125
It looks Impossible, Because there are 124 Pink Panther Cartoons (121 excluding the reissues). but it had 125 after it. I clicked on the link, and downloaded it. there was also a Notepad. The description said the following:
This is a lost cartoon of The Pink Panther, Dated June 27, 1969. It was meant to be the final cartoon of the Pink Panther, but scrapped after it's production was done. If you Upload it to YouTube, You will get a copyright claim from MGM.
I was curious. I wondered why would this be, for a series like The Pink Panther to have such an cartoon like this. So I started the episode.
When the episode started, the usual intro played. Nothing was wrong so far. The title card had a red background with pink centered text saying "Evil Pink". The opening credits showed who made the episode as well.
The cartoon then started, or, at least, what was supposed to be the series. In it's place, was just The Pink Panther, with the theme tune playing very slow and walking down an deserted town. It was literally empty -- there was no sign of Anyone else.
The Pink Panther came up to The Little Man (his foil in the series), but he looked worried, as if it knew what was coming its way. The Pink Panther walked away from him. A few seconds later, The Pink Panther returned and Roared at the Little Man, Scaring him. The Panther's Roar is the same as in "Pinkadilly Circus". The Pink Panther then turned his eyes to me, and said "Now do you realise what I've done?". However, he didn't sound like Rich Little (the voice actor for him in "Sink Pink" and "Pink Ice') -- his voice was deep. And kind of croaky.
It Remained Black for 10 seconds. The Little Man was sitting in a dark basement crying, only it sounded real. He began crying but it started to sound like pain. "YOU'RE NEXT!" The Pink Panther said in his demon voice. The Pink Panther Laughed Evily. The Pink Panther then lunged the Little Man as he screamed to death. The screen then cut to black. It cuts to a scene of The Little Man dead, with a knife in his stomach.
"SWEET DREAMS! HAHAHAHA!" The Pink Panther shouts out in a very creepy demon voice. The Pink Panther then transforms Into a demon, and then the cartoon ends.
I was shocked after what I saw. There was also another Notepad. It Read:
How this Cartoon got Created?
During 1969, there was an man named Crocker. He was a nice staff worker for DePatie-Freleng Enterprises, who usually wasn't that sociable. One time, Crocker's parents had been murdered. Crocker was upset by this. He began submitting morbid ideas, such as Pink's killing all the other characters. He even did a voice of The Pink Panther Evil. Crocker passed off the cartoon as the series finale. Right after they had watched the episode, they fired him. Crocker left an apparent suicide note claiming he was going to live in Africa. However no records claim he was ever there and he was purchasing a gun. They never found him.
I still watch the Pink Panther, but afraid of that Cartoon.
