The PlayStation 3 Error Incident
Does ANYONE even use PlayStation3 anymore? I do, well, not in a while... You see I had a Shocking experience with the system in 2015. You see, I had just gotten LittleBigPlanet 3 for the system, and everything was normal. And No, the screen didn't flicker, the system didn't turn off, and Sackboy didnt do something unusual, not at all!
I got an error screen.
It read "Your Playstation3 software is Illegal. Please reboot your system to learn more".
At first, I was completely confused. I had that system since it came out in 2006. How on Earth could it have been Illegal? I never got this message before, let alone now? Why at all?
I did as the error said, and I Rebooted my PS3. However, it didn't turn back on the way it was supposed to...
All I got was white text on a black background reading "Were Sorry, but your PlayStation3 software has been disconnected by Sony Interactive Entertainment. Please press X to continue".
To continue what? My software had been terminated, what would pressing X do?
I pressed the button, and a countdown appeared above, with another message reading "You didn't listen, and now you have to pay for what you did. You have one minute to enter the password. If time runs out, your system will be in BIG trouble".
What password was I supposed to put in? There was no place to enter the password! I waited hopelessly for the time to run out, and when it did, BOY you did not want to be me then!
A radioactive warning started to play, as another message appeared on a black background, only this time, the text was red.
It said "What have you done? Your PlayStation3 is in danger of getting killed! You need to call this number before it's too late! Call 1-800-513-666 Immediately".
I didn't know what to do then. Should I call the number on my screen? Should I call the cops? Should I contact Sony? My instincts kicked in when I decided to turn off my system. The message disappeared as my PS3 was off.
I thought everything was ok, but I was wrong. My system turned back on with a flickering Red screen with black text reading "YOUR PLAYSTATION SYSTEM HAS BEEN KILLED, AND ALL YOUR DATA IS DESTROYED! THERE IS NO WAY TO ESCAPE FROM YOUR DEATH. NO WAY AT ALL".
I ran to my system cord an unplugged my PS3, and yanked the plug right out of the wall. The screen was still red, but no text was on screen. I went to turn off my Telivission where I heard demonic banshee like screaming.
There was a crude drawing of a person deteriorated in blood and intestines with Japanese text at the bottom. I also noticed a copyright date reading "©2016 Sony Interactive Entertainment 666 Ltd" . My PS3 shut off on its own really soon.
It was destroyed, and I threw it out. Luckily I had a backup. I think I know what might have caused the error in the first place.
I have been modding up my PS3 so much since 2013, It must have caused a fatal virus that killed off my system. I'm not entirely sure if thats what it was caused by, but it may have been.
I noticed something different about my PS3 Backup system...
...There was dried up blood on it.
