The Scary Hallway
I woke up in the middle of the night. My mouth was very dry because I was thirsty. I had to get up to go get a glass of water. It was really late and I didn't want to wake my parents. So late that it was 8:24 (which is past my bedtime). I looked down the hall. It was pitch black. It was so dark that I couldn't see the other side. I turn on the flashlight of my phone. Thats right I'm cool. I got an iPhone. All of the sudden I see a shadow move across the hallway and down the stairs. EEK! I go back to bed and wait till morning. I just ran my mouth under the bathroom sink, It made do.
I woke up in the morning. I was really scared that the shadow might still be there. I called my mom and she assured me that everything was ok. I go down the hall past where the shadow was. Not a trace of it. I go down the stairs, still no trace. I guess it was just my imagination. Heheh It wasn't a monster right?
I go to school that day and in our science class we are learning about light. We learned that light at certain distances cast different sized shadows and when the light moves in different places, the shadows will move. I blurted out to the class "Oh! That makes perfect sense. The shadow moved because of my phone flash!" The rest of my class looked at me and had no idea what I was talking about. My day was very happy. I ate a grilled cheese for lunch at school.
I went home and told my parents about the shadow. They laughed. I go up to my room to play Nintendo DSi, but there in a note on my door written in BLOOD! "Ahh!" I screamed. The note read the following...

I didn't realize anyone was home. I heard you scream, and felt really bad that I might have scared you. Anyway here is a $25 gift card to Gamestop. Go get the newest Pocket Monster game.
I opened my bedroom door and immediately looked out my window. Outside my window there was a 12 foot tall humanoid like figure with 3 jointed arms and a third eye that was pitch black. The being had no mouth, but had very long sharp teeth coming out of his chin and cheeks. He gave off an aura as if burning ash was falling off him. Some parts of its skin looked as if they were badly burnt to a shade even darker than the darkest black you've ever seen. What wasn't pitch black on its body was the color of rotting away flesh and petrified wood. Some parts of its body, if you could even call it a body, had jagged things that looked like bones coming out of it with blood and mud at its tips. Its hands were longer than I was tall and had more fingers than I could count. The figure waved at me through the window and I waved back before it disappeared.
I think that was the guy who gave me the $25. What a cool guy and what a great day. I got $25 for a new game and also learned how shadows worked in school. I can't believe I thought I might have seen a monster last night.
