This Is Not a Dream

Last week or so, my boyfriend let me borrow his laptop to play The Sims. He let me of course, but I noticed something odd when I went to go install the expansion packs. There was a see through icon on the desktop. Thinking it was one of the virus thingys (his laptop is infected with malware and spyware and such) I left it alone and played Sims as normal.

When I finally got bored of it it was almost three in the morning. I exited the Sims and went to the desktop screen. The see through icon was now a .RXT file, a rich text document called THISISNOTADREAM. I checked to see the date on it when it was made and the date on it was May 14th 1980 at 12:47:32.

This was the time that I got on it. Hesitant, I clicked on it and it took me to wordpad. This is the message it showed me.

Hello.... you probably don't know who I am. Let me clarify. I am the darkness that surrounds you. I am the shadows you see on the walls at night. For someone who thinks they are so great, I'm scaring you right now.

If you read this, you see more of me. It will start off small, a scratch at the door, something falling off your table. But then... then you start to see me. It starts off as a a shadow in the corner of your eye. Soon you start to see it move but always in your peripheral vision.

Then you feel something watching you. You'll wake up when you are sleeping to me looking at you. You'll think it is just your imagination but after a few nights, you'll start to wonder.

After a while, the noises will keep you up at night. Your mind will start to slowly desintergrate. But before you die, you'll meet me. I will look you in the eyes while yours fill with fear as you feel your life coming to an end.

It has been three days since then, and I feel like I am always being watched by something.
