Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends: The Rejection of The Powerpuff Girls (1995)

This was a cancelled episode that was made in 1995, replaced by Rusty to the Rescue. It was very silly.

In this episode, Thomas and Percy want Cartoon Network to buy The Powerpuff Girls as their first original animated series, but Edward, who is for some reason the main antagonist of this episode, wants Cartoon Network to buy the competing series, Dexter's Laboratory, as their first original animated series, and tells Thomas and Percy that Cartoon Network can't buy The Powerpuff Girls as their first original animated series as it's too girlish. Soon, a feud between Edward and the little engines ensues, which Duck eventually solves.

Plot

The narrator, Michael Angelis, introduces us to Thomas and Percy, two cheeky little tank engines, who have a lust to get bigger engines in trouble. He then tells us that Thomas and Percy have great anticipation to see The Powerpuff Girls become Cartoon Network's very first original animated series.

The narrator then introduces us to Edward, a blue tender engine who does not like anything that's too girlish, and wants the competing series, Dexter's Laboratory, to become Cartoon Network's very first original animated series.

Narrator: But then there's Edward, he's a blue tender engine who does not like anything that's too girlish, and he wants the competing series, Dexter's Laboratory, to become Cartoon Network's very first original animated series.

Later, at the station yard, Edward really hits Thomas and Percy's nerves by saying that The Powerpuff Girls can't be Cartoon Network's very first original animated series, because it is too girlish. Thomas and Percy decide to stop being friends with Edward, with Edward breaking his friendship with them as well. Edward puffs out of the station yard, infuriated by Thomas and Percy's reaction.

Narrator: Later, at the station yard, Thomas, Percy and Edward were resting, when Edward decided to tease Thomas and Percy.

Edward: Thomas, Percy, you two are crazy! The Powerpuff Girls can't be Cartoon Network's very first original animated series, it's too girlish!

Thomas and Percy were infuriated by this!

Thomas and Percy, in unison: No it's not! We're not friends with you anymore, Edward.

Narrator: Edward was shocked from hearing that!

Edward: fine, then i'm no longer friends with you two either! I'm out of here, i don't want to talk to you two!

Narrator: So Edward puffed out of the station yard.

That night, at the shed, Thomas and Percy refuse to sleep at Tidmouth because Edward is sleeping there, so they decide to try another shed to sleep at. After a while, they decide to sleep with Duck and Oliver on the little western.

Narrator: at the shed, Thomas and Percy were very angry that night.

Thomas: we're not sleeping here tonight! Not with Edward there!

Narrator: So Thomas and Percy decided to try and find another shed to sleep at. They spent hours trying to find a new place to sleep. After a while, they decided to bunk with Duck and Oliver.

When they bunk in, Duck asks Thomas and Percy what's wrong. Thomas and Percy tell Duck that they are no longer friends with Edward because he got on their nerves by telling them that The Powerpuff Girls would not be picked up due to it's girlyness, and they won't sleep with him either. Duck suggests the three engines apoligize to each other the next day, but Thomas and Percy refuse to apoligize to Edward.

Duck: what's wrong, why are you two sleeping here?

Thomas: It's all because of Edward, we're no longer friends with him after he got on our nerves and said that The Powerpuff Girls would be rejected due to it's girlyness.

Percy: so i'm afraid we won't ever be sleeping with him either!

Duck: Hmmm... how about you three apoligize next morning?

Narrator: but Thomas and Percy refused to apoligize to Edward.

The following morning, Duck tells Edward that Thomas and Percy like his new shiny coat of blue paint, and tells Thomas and Percy that Edward likes their new siderods. The following night, Thomas and Percy decide to apoligize to Edward, telling him that they didn't mean to get mad at him, and they decide to be friends with Edward again. Edward joyfully agrees, and the three engines go to sleep peacefully.

Narrator: The next morning, Duck decided to have Thomas and Percy apoligize to Edward anyway.

Duck: Edward, Thomas and Percy say they really like your new shiny coat of blue paint!

Narrator: Edward suddenly smiled, and Duck left to tell Thomas and Percy something.

Duck: Thomas, Percy, Edward says he really likes you guys' new siderods!

Narrator: That night, Thomas and Percy decided to apoligize to Edward.

Thomas: Edward, we're sorry, we didn't mean to get mad at you for making that joke.

Percy: yeah, can we be friends again?

Edward: Of course we can! Why did i get mad at you guys in the first place?

Narrator: and so, with that, Thomas, Percy and Edward went to sleep, happy they were friends once again.
