Categories

I think you're misinterpreting the idea of what Goddy said in the highlighted thread.

A lot of users use fake categories that aren't on the Category List, or users create new categories without an administrator's permission. We don't intend on restricting any user to add categories to pages (it's useful, like you said), but it is annoying when a user adds fake categories/creates new categories without our permission.

After a day when the category is used, and stays on this wiki for a day, it becomes noticeable to other users. It appears like a regular category. And the administration doesn't really want that to notice a fake category late, and there's a load-some in that fake category.

That's the purpose of those two threads; they are there to tell users that they shouldn't create categories or use fake categories. Do you hear that? That's the grape roaring 05:05, October 5, 2014 (UTC)
